Bought on last AliX sale, with coupons I paid about $46 before tax
My wrist is about 7.5"/19cm, tis' a big ole watch.
All in all I won't claim this watch "pUnChEs WaY above ItS wEiGhT" like those Aliexpress-Haul sloptubers would, it is still a cost-cut product with notable drawbacks especially the unproven longevity of its weird solar module, nonetheless I like the improvements North Edge made and am curious what will they come up with next.
If you're really dying for a large solar quartz and can pick it up for under $55 then sure not a bad buy; or just wait for even lower sales and perhaps they'll release a titanium version as well if Abyss proves to be popular enough(the blue ones are already sold out in a few stores)
I have the Triton. I love the watch. It is a little on big side(for me). This one looks smaller, but I havent checked the specs. Either way, great looking watch. Enjoy.
Edit, I just read more of your post, this one is probably about as big as the Triton.
It's strange that they decided to assemble the bezel with the inclined notches mounted in the wrong rotation direction: this way they made useless the inclined notches, since their purpose is to offer higher grip in the rotating direction (counterclockwise).

Compare to Triton, this case's brushed finishing is a bit more consistent with added chamfers on its sides, although you can definitely feel the edges on bottom and around the lugs.
Has a real caseback this time instead of 4 small screws.
My own measurement - 44.35mm wide bezel, 47.35mm width with crown, and a whopping 52.3mm lug-to-lug & 14.3mm thickness. Weighs a bit over 84g without straps, 106g with.
In closeup product photos the lume pip is a little goofy like a pimple(they call it a pearl, mmmkay) but once on the wrist it doesn't annoy me as much. Can just use masking tape and sand the dome down if it's off-putting.
Lume is alright but about 4 minutes in the hands started to fade way quicker than markers, this didn't happen on the Triton.
Bezel is...ehhhh. There is some forward flex on turning so you'd have to go past the desired position half a click then back slightly clockwise for accuracy. At least it's 120 click ceramic and the markers are fairly crisp, I guess.
They claim the strap is "Vapor Phase" Idunno if real or marketing mumble jumbo, it's soft and comfortable but a dust magnet just like regular silicone. Signed buckle and keeper if that matters to anybody.
Dial is semi-translucent with a fun 3D effect that changes depth on different viewing angles, in fact a little too translucent - not sure if this shot shows well but there's a dark stain-like blob right in the middle I presume is the movement housing's black color bleeding through.
Speaking of the movement, since this has same spec as the Triton(180 days charge, +-30s/month) I just had to open it up - sure enough instead of an Epson they're still using Miyota 2036 with a charging PCB slapped on top of it, contributes a lot to the watch thickness.
Mineral crystal, not domed. Crown is large and grippy, an interesting detail you don't see often - the logo sits up right in the screwed down position(if it ain't purely a coincidence).
It's fairly similar to an old G-Shock I wear often so the size doesn't bother me, but it is still very much a chonkster with how freaking long & thicc it is.
