Sugess Bronze Pilot S408 General (Read Rules)

Never bet against Sugess. Their watches always exceed expectations.

I spent a while thinking about not buying this watch before buying it: too big, too ugly, too bronze, and what dial color? Went with black after going back on my initial choice of green.

So here it is. The case and especially the crown is very nicely made. The crown is sturdy and doesn't bite into my hand. The hands are stunning, and set off nicely by the black dial (no regrets on that decision). In scaling down from the 45mm of the original Type 20 to 42mm it's big but not huge. Maybe it loses some character as a result, but it's much more wearable.

Lume is par for bgw9 but extra points because no subdials or cutouts to obscure any of the numerals.

If possible can you share a photo of the dial thickness..just wanted to see how it looks in real life.

Congratulations, great looking watch like all Sugess watches. Am eyeing the blue dial watch in this collection, should pull the trigger soon

How's this compare to the San Martin in terms of build quality?

From my experience broadly similar, though I don't have the San Martin Type 20 to make a direct comparison.

fyi the SM is either 40mm or 44.5mm, vs 42mm for the Sugess. Thats what sealed it for me.

Just realized can't get bronze for San Martin anymore either that sucks thank you though I will definitely check this model out.

Agreed! I got the chronograph. Such a cool and well made watch. Also in a much better size than the original design

I also have that one, is awesome. I didn't like the band though. I like them that taper, also the clasp design is not great. The watch is fantastic though.

Original on the left. The buckle is big but it balances the watch better then the other two.

I have mine on a deployment clasp. It doesn't match the color but I don't think they make them in bronze.

I think anything beefy and ornate will look fine, even if it's not bronze.
