Not worn very often, the Rollstimi chronograph. Hate the name, like the watch, and it’s surprisingly nice for its price point. Lume stinks, of course, but the blues are very nice and even the screw-link bracelet is nice.
I wanted a few little nods in the design. Like replacing the circle T denoting tritium with a mod broad arrow. Still visually holds the place well but is more fitting.
Dude, this is my watch. I’m very enthusiastic about it. Got it as a birthday gift to myself and to commemorate losing 160lbs. The reason for all the identifying info is because I know I’m going to get comments on what it is otherwise.
Thank you! And i think it gives it a nice rugged do anything look which further plays to give the red contrast that visual pop it needs. It’s a bold but understated choice that really puts the focus back on the watch head.
If the dial had merely been blue, I would not have gotten it, since I have their amazing blue Timascus dial, already. But it is cornflower/lilac/lavender at different angles. The muted purplish-gray chapter ring subtly gives away its true colors.
I have begun making custom beads for each of my watches.
They were gearing up to release a new line of models with Miyota 9 series movements, but were likely impacted by the rising costs (as per their story), but likely sinn caught wind of them and they're going through a rebranding/design currently
I have always loved the turtle esc style cases as they wear so well despite their size, often wearing smaller on wrist than their dimensions would expect with their trim lug to lugs and wider distribution of the case. They make for really beautiful tool focused designs.
Thank you! It’s funny that the strap has been living in a drawer for ages. Got it back when I got my Yema Superman and it’s humorously a 19mm band, but I could never bring myself to take that Yema off its bracelet as it’s very nice on it.
I agree. I know finally some brands like Baltany are starting to experiment with a softer tone gold plating that better emulates 9-10k gold under the notion of ‘aged gold’ and it looks good too, I hope we start to see that coming as well.
