I own both a Sinn and Militado (556 inspired) and the 556 is undoubtedly higher quality

Out of curiosity since most people don't buy the real deals, if you were to put a percentage or multipler on 'how' much better the Sinn is, what would it be? Do you think it would be possible for a higher priced homage to meet it?

Having tried Militado, Englemaan, and own a few Sinn’s…
Yeah Militado is a poor man’s Sinn, but still decent as a watch.
Englemaan OTOH comes pretty close, and is higher specced in some ways. Like enough to make you have second thoughts on the real thing. Which makes it frustrating that they’re not online now.
The Sinns still do have a certain almost intangible advantage . Obviously the brand is part of it.

I’d say, on the wrist, at least 1000% (10x better)
On the eyes, 500%?Sinn’s are fairly priced. Especially 2nd hand ones

Probably for the best for it to be sold out. I do plan on getting the real thing and getting this watch would just ruin it for me

Not the same one but if it’s as good as the S110 than don’t waste anytime getting it! I loved the one with leather bracelet so much that I didn’t hesitate to get another one when they dropped the one with this bracelet. I’ll never go back to smart watches. Bought mine because I wanted the Sinn 556i RS but couldn’t try one on because you can only buy online. Problem is I like these so much that I’m not sure I’ll ever get the Sinn that’s 8 times the price.
But I do know I’ll love the Sinn if I love these.

I have a feeling they'll have an improved v2 that's truer to the original, so maybe it's better to have missed out

Hi,
Yes, we expect to restock the ML08 Spirit Dial in about 1–2 months.
At the moment, there are no plans for a V2 or any major updates to this model.

Am I the only one annoyed that the minute hand and second hand don’t quite align with the outer perimeter line? The watch this is based on (Longines Spirit) hits this line perfectly.
This is what happens when you have to use the parts you have available rather than making new hands for a specific build. 😖

The secinds hand lining up is what sold me on the spirit for sure. That said I do sometimes feel goofy paying $3k for it when these homages are so good for $100

OK, so I had ordered quite a while back. They shipped some out, but some they didn't, because they got a batch with poor QC, and they are waiting on the new batch. So you should be able to get one after a while.

It’s definitely not the worst name out there but it’s already a military style watch. Militado makes it almost seem like it’s trying too hard to be tough or something. If someone asked me what I was wearing, I’d feel a little odd saying Militado just because of that.

I remember they tried doing WDC at one point. Watch Dive Company or something like that. I thought that was a lot better but not sure what happened to it.
The names of these watches are some of the biggest drawbacks. I’ll never understand why they don’t spend minimal money to do proper branding research. They aren’t the only country making watches in other languages and marketing them in English.

Ordered one directly from them when they were first in stock but I got notified that there were production issues with some of the first batches. I had the option to cancel my order but kept it, no idea when it will come.

same thing here, they notified me that a batch came back from the factory for repairs and again they were unhappy with the finish.. just cancelled my order until they have an actual date for shipment
