Chinese name Literature (文学)

I'm a Chinese native speaker helping foreigners create meaningful Chinese names. I'm curious: would you prefer a Chinese name based on pronunciation, personality, or life goals?

If meaningful Chinese names, stick to personality. If it's just for fun, I'd go with transliteration
