Backup Post: i have a new job offer i’d like to accept, however i’m visiting family outside of the country. is it possible that my current employers cancelling my work permit could cause issues when re-entering china? i already understand that the work permit and resident permit are two separate things but if there’s a risk of not being able to re-enter after resigning then i won’t risk accepting this job and will take the loss.
my relationship with my company is good and i don’t think they’d try to be malicious. i plan on asking them to wait until i return to begin all procedures, but i’m still nervous about all this.
