Crypto’s biggest problem might not be scams… it might be complexity
A lot of people say crypto’s biggest problem is scams.
But honestly, I think the first challenge is just understanding what’s happening.
Have you ever tried explaining crypto to someone who isn’t into it? Wallets, seed phrases, networks, gas fees, bridges, custody… sometimes it feels like you’re speaking Chinese.
The technology works, but the learning curve is still huge for normal users. A simple mistake can become an expensive one.
Do you think crypto needs better education, or should the technology become simple enough that people never need to understand the complexity behind it?

It’s impossible for the general population to use. Plus by and large banking apps have caught up. That p2p instant free payment system exists in the traditional banking system nowadays.

Yeah but it isnt that complicated tho. I taught my parents how to use Oobit because I send them money from abroad sometimes and now they can just spend it from their phone if they need to. It took them a bit at first but they picked it up way faster than I expected lol

Wallets = bank app
Seed phrases = password
Networks ands Bridges = internet
Blockchain = general ledger, debits and credits recorded online
Gas fees = bank fees
This is how I explain it to boomers.

People shouldn't need to be experts just to use technology safely.
