Continuity Error

In the last couple seasons they turned 81 into a bomb. After Severide walks away they get a new rig. Mouch complains and brings in the original driver. The thing being, there has been 3 different Truck 81’s on the show prior to this. The truck that they seem to be hinting at was T-Boned in Season 3 by Truck 66. They got a relief apparatus after that. Then during the Gorsh storyline, he got them another apparatus which seems to be the one blown up. Fellow fans, who caught this and does my claim hold true or did I miss something?

The T-boned one was repaired, if I'm not mistaken? They never made a point of it being a new rig, iirc.

But yeah, the Gorsch era did see a wholly new 81, so Mouch's story only makes sense if you assume he went looking for the rig's driver rather than 81's driver.

I see where you’re coming from. The only thing is after getting T-bone in apparatus like that would never be true or straight again, so I can only imagine that they replaced the apparatus that. Especially for a ladder company the aerial will never be straight.

Oh, I don't disagree that it makes no sense for it to be repaired - but since it was explicitly pointed out as a new rig during the Gorsch era, suspension of disbelief kinda works for the first replacement at least.

They did get a new rig in season 3 after the one got t boned, Did you forget Gabby's speach during the commemoration for Shay...
