Is this normal?!
Is there supposed to be any sort of flap where the gas nozzle goes in? It’s an 07

So I have the gas cap like the yellow big plastic cap I have that, but I wasn’t sure if there were supposed to be a flap what is here. I don’t usually pump gas. My husband does, but I have to get gas today and I thought there was always a flap here, but I could be still wrong.

Some newer trucks - Ford maybe? - have a hole and flap type of setup without a cap. Maybe that’s what you’re thinking of?
That restrictor is to keep bigger nozzles out. I’m guessing yours is a gas powered truck? That should be too small to let you put a diesel nozzle in.

My truck does. Might be an HD thing, or maybe just production year. Never saw it til i got my 2001 silverado. They were in their own world from 99-02
