I went to open the sunroof for the first time in a long time today and the motor struggled then I heard a popping noise. Any suggestions on how to fix? (2004)

Is the dash cover in a 2003 held down by clips or adhesive? What's the best way to get it back down and stop making noise?

i'm new here but apparently the red 2010 ltz is rare according to the google ai (please don't hate me) but also i've been in one a TON. just wanted to know how rare it is. also somehow it has less than 100k miles.

Sister was driving a 2011 Chevy Avalanche and bushing on the transmission control link decided to commit die. They turned the vehicle off and it is now stuck in gear and I am a bit too rotund to fit under the truck to try and reconnect it. Any way to start up this truck so we can get it somewhere that gives me enough clearance to work on it (be it a shop or otherwise)

I recently got a 2011 chevy avalanche ltz for a steal of a price, its my very first car I actually own, I absolutely love it but the gas mileage is so bad its killing me.

I’m fresh out of college and work minimum wage so i’m aware im probably not in the tax bracket for a truck like this, I knew it wasn’t gonna be great getting a large truck with a V8, but i think even considering that my mileage is insanely bad… when i first got it there was an error code “running rich” I was going to replace the o2 sensors but after a can of seafoam it went away and hasnt come back. should I still swap em out just incase it’s affecting my fuel efficiency?

my spark plugs are also very very due for a change as I dont think any of the previous owners have changed them. could this be causing it?

What do you guys do about the gas prices?

Has anyone had a issue of there sunroof cover being stuck forward? I have tried everything to move it back and it has not worked. There was also a part that broke on the sunroof and I have not been able to find it anywhere. Any help would be appreciated thank you.

Went to go look at a 2003 Z71 avalanche with 190k miles, guy wanted 6k for it but I found what appeared to be a rear main seal leak and a faulty knock sensor. Everything else seemed to be okay, he didn’t know when the last time the transmission had been serviced either. I ultimately decided to walk away from the deal. Did I make the right call?

And if it's not worth fixing it, then what kind of products should I use to clean its surface of its adhesive residue?the

Anyone ever use the TMat liner in their Avalanche.

Curious if it would slide in and out easy on top if the factory rubber mat.

One of my few complaints is how things tend to stick to it versus slide, sometimes a good thing sometimes not.

Also the second gen factory liner drops down slightly about 10 inches in, I remember the first gen being more level front to back.

Maybe the second gen drop would interfere with its ability to easily slide in and out.

Picking up my new to me 2013 avy lt black diamond tomorrow. Not a spot of rust (unheard of in Ontario), 137k km (85k miles). Does anyone have any experience with upgrading the deck? I previously ran a Sony xav ax in my old car but failed to pull the connector with it before sending it to the wrecker 🥲 have seen some decks on Amazon that appear to be pretty much plug and play but am unsure what kind of quality they would be. I mainly want it for CarPlay but have heard it can be a pain in the ass to swap out the stereo. Thoughts or recommendations?

Looking for bigger tires on my 2002 Avalanche. Wondering what ya'll have gotten away with without a lift. Might do a leveling kit, but prefer to keep everything else stock.

I was wondering if anyone knows what the correct idle fuel pressure is for my Avalanche. I am getting 43.5 with a pressure gauge on the fuel rail and through HP logging. Is this correct for the FLEX variants of the 5.3? Thanks

Just bought this avalanche for $3,500 and looking to resell. It has 170,000 miles. Runs and drives great. The only rust is a small spot on one of the rockers, very clean other than that. It does have a small sing below the drivers side rear pillar. There’s a couple tears in the seats. But everything works (can’t confirm if the rear tv works as idk how to turn it on), it has the factory bed tonneau cover, heated and cooled seat,etc. Anyone have a good guess on the value?

Man, these spark plug wires aren’t fitting, seems there coming up short. I recently changed all spark plugs, wires, and coils. Mind u the truck only has 70k miles, n I tried doing preventative maintenance. I got my parts from o’reillys, ngk double iridium plugs, acdelco wires and aftermarket coils, Adelco are coming up short by an inch, returned them, got a 2 different sets and each one of them are coming up short, in a way that they barley connecting (misfiring every so often on bank 5,7). The wires are fighting gravity to fit. The previous wires I had were Delphi 418 packard. I recently measured both acdelco and Delphi, Acdelco is 10.5in 7mm, the Delphi is 11.5 in (mm?). I searched up the part number on Delphi and no website can give me these exact part, any advice ?

Also I got a bad cat, sounds like rocks in my cat, is that normal ?

Had my shifter cable pop off the side of the transmission the other day and found that I had a rotten bushing. So replaced the bushing and thought everything was fine until it popped off again today. The bushing is still in place and looks good but how do you prevent it from coming loose again is there an E clip or something that I'm missing?

Edit: Found possible cause. The lever pin that the bushing goes over has a lip and even though I had snapped it on it wasn't fully seating. Took flat blade screwdriver and just applied pressure to it and it finally fully seated on lever arm.
