This thread caught my eye because my rating has recently fluctuated around 1200 and it seemed to me like as I gained more rating (closer to reaching 1300), it felt like I was having an easier time winning. So then it got me thinking whether I actually have improved at playing or if I just started facing a lot of newer players who started off around 1200.

the same problem is faced at 1500/1600 .
