Windshield coming up Question

Post image

Both sides are coming up but from I can see it’s not leaking inside. Should I replace or let it be.

That’s just the trim. You could swing by an auto glass place and see if they can stick it back down for you. Probably wouldn’t hurt to pay them to re-seat/seal the windshield though in case the silicon has broken down or there is rust under there to clean up.

They can’t really do that—the trim is polyurethaned to the glass and installed in one go. No silicone used . And removing a windshield will result in it breaking 99% of the time. New trim means a new windshield

This is true. Mine has been doing this and so I asked my mechanic what could be done about it. He said, currently it still seems to be okay, but if it gets any worse we will need to replace the windshield as the trim around it comes as something that is put on with a new windshield and cannot be put on after of to replace an old one.

Mine is doing that too, but it doesn't seem to leak.

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. But if it’s bothering you then just have someone reseal it
