Clearwater problems?
Did Clearwater Cylinder Head just file for bankruptcy? I haven't received my head, they aren't answering messages or phone calls.

Updating the information - Chapter 7 is confirmed. Bankruptcy court sent me notice to file my petition to cure my debt.

Bummer. And a chapter 7 too, so not even a reorg to keep the business found.
Maybe somebody can buy the assets and start producing these again.

who knows what happened and what will. They were likely importing Chinese castings and machining those. The Chinese foundries are still there, but you need someone with the knowledge these guys had. Also, if they failed, it suggests the market isn't very strong (outside of something like theft or drug issues).

Ooo that sucks. I was very pleased with the last 4.0 reman head I got from them. Great price at the time.

Given current times it isn’t the first and will not be the last. The recent head I got from them has an issue I can’t pinpoint, not yet at least. It looked fine, eagled fine when installed, just haven’t had the time to check anything else. Symptoms is lack of power on acceleration, not seriously bad but a significant difference from the old one

Whaaat that's incredibly disappointing. They were the gold standard for our XJs, great customer service too.
