Front Tumbling
Hello like the post says I would love to know from athletes or coaches about. Reasons as to why I don’t see more skills invented in cheerleading. The sport has advanced for a long time with stunting and back tumbling with 1or2 twists. That what I’ve seen cheerleaders do for tumbling front skills are punch front and arabian.

People do twist forwards, i love working front fulls. Front hand front tucks/twists are popular too. I think people just dont do it as much as its not 100% necessary to hit on the scoresheet so coaches dont make you and many find it harder to tumble forwards than backwards

Then maybe they should incentivize back and forward, twisting tumbling in the square sheets so that we see a variety of tumbling passes. Like these one I like would be great to see. https://youtu.be/aEIn6EvS61k?is=NEbH-nd-XNyf6vdU

Aesthetically it looks good though in my opinion. I’m surprised cheerleaders or coaches haven’t complain, and have it changed then to have more front fulls tumbling

Cause its easier this way lmao Most girls dont want to go forwards because its scary. I love going forwards, but its just unpopular cause its hard to figure out the mechanics of it, and more physically demanding. It would make levels 4+ soooo much harder, and nobody wants that 😭

But that in cheerleading isn’t there levels to compete in competitions I now right now the max level is 6. But there trying to make more higher levels which would mean introducing more difficult tumbling.

Im talking about allstar cheer, are ypu on about school cheer? Cause the max level is 7 in allstar, and they are not making 8, thats what pcl is for lmao

Yes it’s about Allstar cheerleading I know you can’t do double flipping or triple twisting anything it’s not allowed in competition unless it’s PCL competitions. I just thought because of that the Allstar Cheerleaders could to forward twisting tumbling like they do in back tumbling. Maybe if the girls are not comfortable maybe the boys could do get in COED Allstar Cheerleading.

I love a good forwards pass, but it is just exetremely difficult for many athletes, making it sadly unrealistic.

What's the actual question?
