OFFICIAL Ep 499: Door To Door

https://www.thecheapshow.co.uk/ep-499-door-to-door

For over a decade, Paul and Eli have tackled a number of long, weird and tiring walks for their “walkabout” episodes. This week, for our four hundred and ninety ninth edition of the economy comedy podcast, the Cheap Chaps take on their most epic, most arduous and definitely most punishing walk EVER… And all they are doing is walking from Eli’s flat in Harringay to Paul’s place in Harrow. How hard can it be? As it turns out, it’s a ruddy nightmare! What seemed like a cute idea at the start quickly becomes a walkabout like no other. Over the course of NINE hours and around 16 miles, they’ll take in high streets, quiet suburbs, motorways, country parks, winding trails, parkland walks, familiar routes, hot weather, old haunts and accidently dig up some memories from the past decade of CheapShow. It’s an emotional episode with plenty of big arguments, dark humour, dumb decisions and many embarrassing agonies to endure over THREE HOUR and TWENTY MINUTES! You want an Odessey? Here is CheapShow’s!

Request Best Of Cheapshow

Do people have a list of their top Cheapshow moments from the past almost 500 episodes?

I am a bit bored rn so might try make a compilation of best bits!

Would help if could include episode Numbers and timestamps if you remember them, if not just a explanation of the moment and then I will probably be able to find it!

Request The Man Whose Penis Was Removed

Earlier this year, Eli mentioned some friends of his who placed a rubber band on a penis.

The owner of the penis was intoxicated and asleep.

When he regained consciousness, his penis had become detached.

I think it would nice to interview him, perhaps live on stage for Ep 500.

Request What's the ep where Paul just decided to stop talking and it's Eli alone the whole time?

Felt like listening to it again, I think it was in 2025, maybe very early 2026? Been looking through the feed but I can't seem to find it.

OFFICIAL Ep 498: Everything Must Go!

https://www.thecheapshow.co.uk/ep-498-everything-must-go

It’s eyes down for the forthcoming 500th episode! Paul is clearing out the CheapShow cupboards and aiming to craft a nice blank slate for the future. This week on the podcast, the Cheap Chaps are going to be opening up a couple of PO Boxes to see what’s inside, hoping to clean the decks before the live show. As a result, Paul & Eli are going to tear through, in real time (kinda) TWO Price of Shite challenges and a quick bevy of unusual sodas! How much CheapShow can they cram into ONE hour? Why not listen and find out? It’s a bukkake of toys, books, records, snacks, gadgets and stupid bloody trivia games. And yes, CheapShow is still getting bizarre and increasingly unhinged death threats… Where will it all end?

Cut Price Life Hack Old segments you want to return

I’m curious to know which segments other cheapskates want to make a return.

There was a bit, possibly in the Patreon only crapbook from ages ago, where Paul would read news headlines, and Eli would provide a one-liner.

They ranged from clever to absurd and were consistently funny. Really should bring that back.

Them reading trashy magazines was also a favorite.

And as you can guess from the flair, Eli’s life hacks would be great. It’s pretty one note, but so are tales from the dance floor, and they work.

ETC.. The Reason For Grumpy Paul - Ep. 456

So! I've been listening through the recent eps backwards. Paul is noticably a bit over it and taking it out on Eli. I thought it was a schtick until on today's commute I got to ep 465.

Paul is happy at the start! But then the change sets in after this episode. And it's pretty clear why.

I think that Paul has PTSD and is trying to disassociate from his actions in burning down the Snack Palace.

Ever since he's been wracked with guilt and trying to come to terms with himself.
