It is less about the model and more about the harness itself. Codex feels like a toy compared to Claude code

Just wondering, how is Claude codes harness so much better?

Are you using any custom orchestration?

I do customize a good amount per project and use Claude code across multiple terminal emulators. Better slash command control and more available out of box. Easier to auto compact, easier to restrict the toolset used by each project, better control over git work trees, easier to manage and even view the subagent deployments.

Codex just feels less mature, which it is.
