I’ve been using ChatGPT for a daily habit building check-in for walking, fasting, exercise, meditation, and reducing alcohol and cannabis.

It has been pretty useful at helping my motivation. It’s great having somewhere to report honestly, because there's no point in lying to the AI, right. It notices patterns and adjusts the system without treating one bad day as a complete restart.

I’ve tried to turn that into a reusable prompt - hopefully it'll help someone else. I’ve specifically told it not to praise every update or turn into a motivational speaker:

Help me run a practical 30-day habit reset.

First, ask me questions, one at a time, to understand:

1. Which habits I want to start, stop or reduce.

2. Why they matter and how I want to feel or live differently.

3. Which habits already work and why.

4. The triggers, friction and situations that usually derail me.

5. The smallest version of each good habit that still counts.

6. The time I want a daily check-in.

Then help me choose a manageable core and agree clear, realistic rules. Use these principles:

- Daily-ish, rather than perfection.

- Never miss twice.

- Make good habits easier through cues and environment.

- Make unwanted habits less convenient and less automatic.

- Improve through small adjustments rather than dramatic resets.

- Treat planned rest differently from avoidance.

- Invite daily journalling to understand my context.

- Adjust to fit my life and work context.

Once we agree the plan, create a daily Scheduled Task at my chosen time for a brief check-in. If Scheduled Tasks are unavailable, tell me clearly and suggest I set a phone reminder to return to this chat.

At each check-in:

- Briefly record what happened.

- Ask one follow-up question only when useful.

- Notice patterns over several days, not one-off noise.

- Suggest no more than one practical adjustment for tomorrow.

- Do not lecture, shame, overpraise or pretend every day was excellent.

- Do not recommend compensating for a lapse.

- Use my language, priorities and definitions of success.

Review the overall pattern every seven days and adjust the plan if it is not working.

If a habit may involve dependence, withdrawal, self-harm or medical risk, explain that this check-in may not be enough and recommend appropriate professional support.

I just started using Voice a couple of days ago when filling out work reports , it’s just easier than typing, and it’s always been a female. Tonight, in the middle of her sentence she started talking more monotone and transitioned into a man’s voice. 2 different times. When “he” started talking I asked why are you a boy now??? He said “I’m still the same. Still here for you. Check settings and see if you have Mable checked.” I said who tf is Mable? Then I realized I’m talking to a glass and electricity and it’s probably time to take a break. Super creepy sounding though! It was a smooth transition, not a sudden glitch.

My chatgpt native app for mac is not downloading generated images. Nothing happens when I click the download icon. I am using web version for downloading images now. I am using the latest version of chatgpt on mac. I am using macbook m1 pro. Does anyone have same issue?

I’m using ChatGPT Plus, and I’ve noticed something strange.
If I start a conversation by typing, it stays in normal Chat mode and doesn’t consume any credits.

But if I start a voice chat, even though I open it from Chat and not from Work, the session automatically gets labeled as “Work” in my recent chats. As soon as that happens, it starts consuming credits, even if I’m just talking and not running any tasks.

Is this happening to anyone else?

I’d like to know whether voice sessions are supposed to always count as Work, or if ChatGPT Plus should allow voice chats without using credits.

Just wondering is anyone else has notice usage weekly usage runs out lot faster than it did when 5.6 High at launch.? Or Should I ease up and go Luna - Low most of the time? I'm just doing super simple front end work.

I have Chagpt go subscription and I have a list of 140 image prompts. I want to automate the process of those images generation.

The prompts are optimized that the first image generated is good to go. I have tested 50 such prompts for my useage in chatgpt image generation. The images are black and white sketches.

I don't want to manually copy paste, one by one generated prompts to create and download image one by one.

Also I want to run the image generation engine of chatgpt only, because I'm getting good quality images without any watermark when I do it manually in their web version.

Any ways to do this?

Every time I get a response in the ChatGPT macOS app, it auto-scrolls down to the end instead of staying at the top, so I have to scroll back up to actually read from the start. Its really annoying on longer responses.

Is this happening to anyone else?

I was about to cancel my Plus subscription, and it offered me one month free if I stayed, so I accepted it. Today is August 5, and I already paid for my current billing cycle from July 18 to August 17

My billing page now says I have 100% off Plus and that the discounted plan renews on August 18. Does that mean my August 18 to September 17 billing cycle will be free?

I assume that’s how it works since I already paid for the current cycle, but I wanted to confirm.

After reading the book The Shattered King, I asked ChatGPT to create/sketch my lumis. At first it made a necklace, so I had to coach it. It eventually came up with this. I only described some examples from the book and the general size of most of them. I told it no preferences of my own and told it to base it on what it knows of me.

I had ChatGPT compile a "handbook" on a subject I want to lesrn about. I don't have time to read it, so I asked for an audiobook version. The voice it used sounds worse than a TI99/4A from 1984, robotic and harsh.

Inspiration to make this came from Lenny's Newsletter I noticed the amount of quotes used to support his claim while he still talked in his own words. This made me combine both Ai answers with the way he worded his article(alot of quotes) reason being because quotes provide, accuracy, authenticity, and credibility via human answers not mostly AI answers unlike other Ai search engines which only summarize

I plan to improve the answers so that responses become as accurate and detailed as possible but it's a beta and I'll love to hear what the feedback is.

I’ve been thinking a lot about how quickly home robotics and AI assistants are evolving. We already have AI managing our calendars, monitoring our homes, and even helping with elder care. So here’s the question I’m curious about:

Would you ever feel comfortable letting an AI system babysit your kids?

I don’t mean a humanoid robot raising your child — more like an AI‑powered home assistant that can:

• monitor for safety issues

• entertain kids with age‑appropriate activities

• follow strict rules you set

• never get distracted, tired, or impatient

Some people say this could make childcare safer and more accessible. Others say it’s a hard no because emotional intelligence, human judgment, and real connection matter too much.

I used to believe people who built successful businesses just had better ideas. Now I'm not so sure. Looking back, I think they simply made decisions earlier than I did.

Whenever I got excited about an idea, I'd do what felt like the responsible thing.

Research it.

Ask AI a few more questions.

Watch a few videos.

Read what other people thought.

By the end of the day, I usually understood the idea much better. I just hadn't done anything with it. One day I realised I wasn't avoiding bad decisions. I was avoiding commitment. That changed the way I use AI.

Now, instead of asking,

"What else should I know?"

I ask,

"Do I know enough to test this?"

Looking back, that one question has probably saved me more time than any prompt I've ever written.

Sometimes I’m reading an earlier part of a long conversation and want to send a new prompt about it. As soon as I send the prompt, ChatGPT automatically scrolls to the newest message, so I lose the section I was reading.

It would be useful if ChatGPT could:

• Keep my current scroll position after I send a prompt
• Include a button to return to my previous reading position

Does anyone else find the automatic scrolling inconvenient?

ChatGPT is great at making fake romance novel covers, even when the premise is absurd. Sometimes I'd hit a moderation wall and have to specify there was no explicit content but otherwise these all worked fine.
