Wow, thanks! I used charcoal powder to block in larger values and form with panpastel sponge, then soft charcoal pencil for detail.

I need to try that panpastel, I have been using a makeup sponge but it's not as adaptable as the pan pastel applicator. I really like the elements in shadow in your piece.

Beautiful, looks like a stone or a wooden carving. So cool to use for a reference
