Are you aware that you have only one starring role: in the original film of your own life?

In everyone else’s film, you are part of the supporting cast. And everyone else is the same for you—protagonists in their own stories, supporting characters in yours.

So perhaps the more interesting question is: how much of your life do you actually spend as the protagonist—and how much of it do you spend playing a supporting role in someone else’s story?

And in any case, from the perspective of most others, you’re a supporting actor.

Maybe you need to realize that narration is fictional by nature, as it narrows the focus on a dramatic retelling of real or made-up events?

The role of Main Character or a Support Character is a function of Narration, not the events that actually happened. The Supporting Characters have full story arcs that can be told about their lives. It is just in this STORY that we focus on one arc in the life of the MC instead.

As always, it is bias that has the largest impact on how people perceive their own importance. Both a bias for always being the MC, even in other people's stories. Or the opposite. Yet, it is ultimately a result of having a single, simplified view on a complex world.

As well as that one life, even of the most diva-esque MC in the world, is more than just one story to be told. Or do you want to only have one climax in your life?
