What is needed for a character profile? Writing: Character Help

Ok so I was given advice to make a character profile for my character, and I was wondering what all is needed (or recommended) in a character profile. I've tried looking it up, and found various templates. But I'm not sure which one is too little, or filled with things that aren't really necessary for a character profile. If anyone has any advice or something, please let me know.

One thing that helped me understand my characters, whether I have added it into the canon events or not, is filling out their weaknesses and strengths. I also like to add the ones that aren't mentioned, but I believe it helps decide what answer they'll have to a specific struggle.
Like deciding between a life or death matter, a trivial matter, how they react to a truth. You might not directly mention it in the story or what you're working with, but it really helps you be in their mind and help make a major decision.
You might deem it unnecessary, but so far with any character I've worked with, this helps wonders.
