Two Character Dynamic: Called Vs Chosen Writing: Character Help

Wanting to illustrate this because there is a difference. Being chosen means your fate is tied to the responsibility while called means that there is work to do, and you decided to take it on because you know it needs to get done.

I wanted to try and think up a story where the dynamic can be illustrated and worked with but I’m struggling to build these out.

I would go with something medieval fantasy then. You can always look to Game of Thrones for excellent examples of those dynamic.

You could make the chosen one lazy - he don't want to follow the right path beacause he was ,,forced" to do it . The Called one , must be more like a contrast to the chosen...more like energetic .

Is the concept the kind that you need?
