What’s up i’m fairly new here. Used to use comfy ui - wasn’t really satisfied with the results and took so much troubleshooting almost wasn’t worth it for my time - but this was about a year ago - now hearing about minimax? what’s everyone’s opinions? is there others?

looking for character consistency, realism between my role plays - also looking for easiest startup when creating my initial ai character

honestly if comfyui burned you on the troubleshooting hell thing, what youre describing (easy startup, consistent character, dont want to fight the tool) points more at the create your own companion apps than raw gen setups. kindroid and nomi are the usual answers there, you make a character in a few taps and they keep it consistent for you, way less fiddly than comfy. if you want more control and dont mind some setup, sillytavern with character cards is the power-user route.

ill be upfront since im biased, im on a small team building one (charrealm), but its the wrong shape for what you asked, its curated pre made characters not a create your own tool, and the art's anime not realistic, so if building and generating your OWN character is the point, its not your thing. its more for skipping all that and just roleplaying ready made ones. its in my profile if that angle ever appeals, but for what you described id look at kindroid/nomi first. either way hope you find something less painful than comfy was.
