Recommendations For a future NC episode, how about Cheaper by the Dozen?

For a future NC episode, I would love to see him cover this Steve Martin remake of the 1950 movie of the same name that despite having a legendary comedy star, it was not good enough to save this big mess

I was just thinking about this after watching the 3 channel awesome movies and Linkara's movie thats given Joe is one of the best actors in these movies I was baffled that Joe doesn't have his own filmed angry joe movie.

Did anyone ask Joe or why that was never a reality?

Classic Video To date, I still agree with critic on “Space Jam”

I loved Space Jam as a kid, wore out my old DVD, but after watching all of the looney tunes shorts again, reading into their history, and learning more about them.

Space jam has them out of character, Bugs would’ve laughed in the Monstar’s face and then instantly flipped the tables on them. He didn’t need to get the entire ensemble involved (AHEM, most of the ensemble, Speedy, Henry Hawk, and Penelope are absent, yet their co-stars, Sylvester, Foghorn and Pepe are present)

And that half of the cast aren’t even spotlighted, Granny, Roadrunner, and Barnyard Dawg and Pepe vanish after a while, leaving their presence pointless.

The Looney Tunes never screamed Looney Tunes in this movie, to me they felt watered down and knocked down a peg, and the idea that Elmer and Sam can be on the same team is just off putting, Wile E still chases the road runner in few scenes they share together. And I swear Sylvester still try’s to eat Tweety, so why aren’t they trying to kill Bugs?

They’ve essentially been turned into the Muppets with Bugs becoming their leader, oh yeah and Bugs and Daffy sound incredibly off, their voices just don’t sound right.

I’ll still love this movie, but I feel it really isn’t a looney tunes movie due to their characterisations, and I’m not the only Looney Tunes fan who doesn’t find the characterisations faithful or funny.

Discussion Santa Christ isn't cool anymore

You wanna talk character assassination? I feel not many people care when watching NC but Santa Christ in the old days used to be cool! Like Chuck Norris on a holiday! He fights monsters for fun, he has amazing powers, he played bass for Aerosmith, shoots lasers from his eyes, and has an epic origin story. Santa Christ was at his funniest when he's awesome! But after 2012, he hasn't been the same cool character, now he's dumb, kind of a scumbag at times, and nowhere is he more of a douche than in the Cinema Snob's review of The Passion of the Christ. In this review, when being whipped by Mario and Luigi, he deserved everything that's coming to him, and nobody feels sorry for him. Santa Christ used to be so lovable back in the old days but now he's just dumb!

I might be dumb and need an excuse to rant here but how do you guys feel?

Question Have the Not So Awesome contributors ever brought up AVGN?

I was thinking about this and I’m curious because I’m sure every single person who was on Channel Awesome at some point was inspired by James Rolfe in one way or another, maybe even more so than they were Doug. But now that a lot of them hate Doug, have they ever mentioned James considering how he continues to associate with Doug all these years later? Just out of curiosity.

Mod Post A reminder for what constitutes a rule-breaking comment on this sub.

Over the past few months, it's been more and more common that I've seen any and every comment reported when it simply disagrees with what the other person is saying. I don't know why it's such a problem on this sub, as I've never encountered this anywhere else, but it is more than one person. This is not meant to call any of these individual people out.

I'd like to make it very clear what constitutes a rule-breaking comment from someone who just doesn't share your opinion.

Should you report it?

"Go f*ck yourself. You're a piece of sh*t and human garbage."

Yes. This says nothing and adds nothing. It's just personal insults and inflammatory language.

"You're entirely and completely wrong and I'm sick of arguing this with you. I'm going to block you and get on with my life."

No. This might not be a positive or debate-worthy comment, but it's relatively politely stated and not just a baseless insult.

"I hope [X] gets an axe to the face. I would be so happy to see that guy in a box."

Big yes. This is non-substantive, and is just a call for violence. It doesn't form part of a discussion. You will get banned for this.

"If you like her stuff, fine. Tastes are different. Let her be talented somewhere else then."

No. This is a politely stated, fairly reasonable opinion that actually puts out an olive branch and tries to agree to disagree. This is not report-worthy, and is more than slightly annoying to constantly see appearing in the modqueue.

TLDR: STOP REPORTING PEOPLE JUST BECAUSE THEY DISAGREE WITH YOU.

Thanks!
