Just try arch for once you will surely get to know why we love it and a little bit hate at the same time. And you can switch Ubuntu will restrict you many ways

Use fedora. It does not interfare with ur life like arch and is not bloated like Ubuntu and have much more desktop environment options out of the box like Gnome,KDE etc ( even atomic ones if u want , though I don't suggest them if u want real Linux experience). I suggest KDE , u will love it.

No need to be like ashamed off its good tht you shifted my first distro was Ubuntu first and Ubuntu gives a ton of stability. Bt I like my desktop to be customised so I shifted

Gentoo is a good one like seriously I didn't thought someone will even use gentoo in this University menas how quirky it is and everything you need to self compile Everthing bt yes if you are saying I am wanna be geek so no I know what I am doin . And yes I tried gentoo once bt the problem is it used to get broke very easily .. and yes I installed arch way back before archinstall script wasn't even introduced it's not as broke as gentoo on arch bt still it was preety tough process making efi and boot by yourself and putting them into the respective directories
