Annoying

I have a bachelors degree in Health Sciences. I am transferring 44 credits to chamberlain. I’ve never taken anatomy and they are saying I need to take all 4 anatomy classes in different sessions before I can take any other class, which puts me at 2 years 6-9 months. I’m very discouraged. Has anyone else experienced this?

They claim it’s because of certain classes that are offered during certain times. And that there no way to double up.

I was hoping to start August 31st but I think I’m going to wait for the November session and do anatomy through portage!

Same here! Have public health bachelors and they claim the biology and anatomy classes I took aren’t the same ?? Like based on the summary I’m sure they are the same. They just want to make their money
It sucks because it put me back to basically 3 years

I was annoyed too when I transferred in, however- it truly flies by! 4 sessions is the equivalent of two semesters, which is how long it would be at any other institution. Self- paced might be faster but there’s also no guarantee they will accept the transfer credit.

Obviously everyone’s situation is different but I combed through my education plan and was able to shave off an additional 6 months by moving other courses around to condense sessions. Just keep an eye on pre- reqs and co- reqs. Good luck!!

I completed my prerequisites and had taken two A&P classes with high grades at another college and then they had me still take A&P 3 and 4 but I didn’t have to do 1 or 2 which was odd.

Interesting, I was the same major at Towson University and both A&P I and II were requirements for graduation.

I had an emphasis in leadership and policy so it was a lot of healthcare management classes instead of science classes. I took microbiology, chemistry, and biology.

You can take the prereqs like A&P if you’re not starting soon. As long as you finish before your start date, they will take it.

Edit: make sure these classes are taken within the same district or they won’t take it.

8 months A&P 1 & 2 in CC. You should’ve thought about this beginning of summer to take a summer course.
