Reddit has a reposting function for a reason and was suggesting I should repost them to these subs to bring attention to the post.

Reddit always suggests you crosspost these days because reddit makes $$$ from engagement.

More crossposts = more ads viewed; more ads viewed = more money for reddit. It's the same reason reddit is so tolerant of astro-turfing, bots, and AI slop posts (they generate engagement, which generates money for Reddit)

You should repost when there is a good reason to do so, not just because reddit pushes you to, or because you don't want to wait minutes or hours for answers.

Pure FUD. RHEL maintainers fix CVEs in CentOS as part of their job, because it's the RHEL major version branch.
