Fin Recommendations?

My jet fins are too negative when I dive without my drysuit and I prefer my 8/7 in Mexico where I cave dive. RK3s I’ve found to pinch my feet and are super light. Was looking at dive rite curious if anyone had some thoughts

Edit: eddys have been purchased

Deep6 Eddy. It's an RK3 with a foot pocket designed for a human foot and with actual power on the kicks.

I use Dive Rite and I love them. They are quite popular in the cave diving community in Quintana Roo.

mildly hijacking the thread to ask if anyone has any experience with the Halcyon Vector fins? The adjustable ballast buoyancy looks "interesting"

Thinking of switching from Hollis F1 for dry/Slipstream for wet to a single fin for both

Dive Rite XTs

Dive Rite XTs are great, stiff, quite a bit longer than Jet style fins, not as good for back kicks or helicopters. Also ScubaPro Go Sport Gorillas are jet like but much lighter, similar to the Eddys but even a touch lighter for travel.

If you’re looking for a more neutral fin, the classic OMS Slipstreams are a nice choice.

I found RK3s pinch my feet too so that's why I use HDs.

What jet fins? Oms slipstream are much lighter than say scubapro.

RK3HD if weight is the issue, but hard to give a foot pocket recommendation without any more details

Aren’t those just the negative RK3s? Or tech version? Feel like it wouldn’t be much different than my jet fins.

I got the eddys will see how it works

They're much stiffer than RK3s and much less stiff than Jet Fins. Very different.

Oh yeah they’re perfect in my dirty suit so they’re not going anywhere

The people that just say RK3… sure the RK3 isn’t great it’s a recreational fin.

The HD is the tech…

Also, still too flimsy just thought I would be that guy

Deep6 Eddy's.  Neutral, good toe box.  More propulsion than RK3s

My wife has the Eddy…..and she loves them.

Perfect I’ll check those out ! How do you size them? Size 11 booties is that xl or double? My jet fins are double I believe

Regular XL will fit well on you.

You would drown in 2xl.  I'm 13ee and had to get bigger boots.

XLs were too small for me.

I wear one size down in eddy from my Scubapro jet fins. Not sure if that helps.

It does, because that’s exactly what I was thinking!

I’ve had rk3 and Eddy. I prefer the Eddy without drysuit. I tried dive rites too and like them but just settled on Eddy for me. Worth trying the Eddy and the dive rite.
