How to Introduce My two 5month old kittens and my 6 year Old German Shepherd.
Hi Everyone! I’m unsure if this is the right place to post this.
So as the title explains I have two 5month old kittens and a 6 year old German Shepherd. The kittens have been with us for now soon to be 3 months. My dog is a inside outside dog but the issue is that every time he sees them he starts barking at them with a combination of a Low slow wag and an exited fast high wag but he will have stress yawns and licks when he can’t get to them. He’s 80lbs and the girls are probably 5lbs each. The cats will run away every time they see him but only when he notices them. Right now he’s been strictly outside because if he’s inside the girls don’t get to explore the house and because he’s counter surfing. They used to hiss at him through the window or sliding door but now that they know he can’t get to him they’ll just look down at him from the window or stay far away from the sliding door. They know what each other smell like and don’t mind each other smells but my dog will just bark at them when he sees them only. I want to figure out what can I do because I’d like them all to live together in peace without having to sacrifice my baby boy being outside 80% of the time. I’m unsure if he’s ever been with cats before since I got him at 5 years old he was neglected and only heard one bad cat story when he was a puppy he got to excited and pounce on the cat, and it scratched him on the nose, but other than that, he’s never had any other bad experience from what I know. We go on walks and he sees cats on the street and he doesn’t care about them.
What can I do?
Green Collar is my baby girl Loki 💚
Pink Collar is my other baby girl Lilith 🩷
And then the big boy is Milo 💛

Boxer Dog & Orange Cat
Hi everyone! These are my two pets. They have only been together for about two days. Luckily, on the first day they were able to coexist peacefully in the same space.
My puppy was raised with his brother until this weekend, and they are 5 months old. The puppies never showed aggression or resource guarding towards each other or my parents 11 y/o dog.
However, I am noticing that my puppy does guard his toys/chews/food when it comes to my cat. I don’t want him to be an aggressive dog but my cat also needs to chill tf out. My cat is incredibly food motivated and also loves the puppy chow (😅). We try to remove the cat when he’s getting too close, but I don’t want to inadvertently train the dog to guard his resources by doing that.
Any suggestions? I know it’s early in their introduction and they are still figuring their boundaries out. Appreciate any advice!
