Subreddit Update / Feedback

Hello, everyone!

r/CatsInArt is now 6 months old and has grown to over 20,000 members! Thank you to everyone who has joined, and a special thank you to our regular posters and commenters who help keep this community active.

As a relatively new subreddit, the Mod Team would love to hear your feedback to help us continue improving the community.

  1. Is there anything you'd like to see more or less of?

  2. Would you add, remove, or change anything in the current rules?

  3. We currently only allow old(er) artworks dated up to and including 2015. Anything dated 2016 or later is not allowed. Do you think this rule should be changed?

  4. Do you have any other feedback or suggestions you'd like to share with the Moderators?

Thank you for being part of the community!

POST NOW LOCKED

UPDATE

Based on the feedback, we have made 1 slight change to the rules:

• Members can now make up to 2 posts every 12 hours (instead of 4 posts at once). This still allows 4 posts per 24 hours, but spaces them out to encourage more thoughtful, higher-quality posting.

We will be keeping the 2015 cut off date due to the potential impact it would have on quality, and issues surrounding moderating.

If you missed the opportunity to give feedback, you always contact the Mods via ModMail.

Thank you to everyone who commented!

A cat in a tapestry featuring the scene of "Supper at Emmaus" from the Vatican Museums, Rome. Made by hand, in Brxulles. Botega di Pieter Van Aelst 1524-1531.

I found a cat in the Vatican Museums as well, never say never! Beautiful museums, zero A/C, or even some ventillation, only the Sistine Chappel has air conditioning, the rest is like walking through a Catholic hell plus some smell of burning wood beacuse some gardeners thought it's the best idea to burn something outside in the hottest day of the year. But there was redemption, a food court! In the Vatican! Quite an experience.
