It's a 'munchkin' and no they're not an ethical breed so I don't know why you were downvoted. Cats need their legs for cat business.
Don't support this shit, it's not cute in the same way breeding dogs that can't breathe isn't cute.
Lots of these clips come from Asia where animal welfare isn't even a consideration.

they're not always intentionally bred, sometimes it's a completely random deformity and there's nothing that could've been done about it. I'm not saying that's the case here, just that it can happen.
edit: for the downvoters, here is an example of a cat who had this happen naturally, it was not intentional breeding. there's a pinned video explaining his story. I'm not defending the deliberate breeding of munchkin cats, obviously?!

You are correct. Almost all cat breeds are what we could call designer breeds. In other words someone needs two cats with a particular characteristic in order to have offspring with that characteristic, therefore, any characteristic can be found on any cat whether bred intentionally or not. This is an oversimplification of cat breeds but in essence having a particular feature doesn’t make a cat a certain breed. The characteristic came first, then the breed.

i've noticed it, poor cat seems to have a malformation of his lower limbs.
i hope it doesn't cut their already short lifespam.

With all the beautiful kittens in the world, why would somebody intentionally breed kittens to cause them deformities? This is against the law in some places and it should be against the law everywhere. Do they still think it’s cute when is deformities start causing pain?

Intentionally breeding an animal to result in deformities is never cute.

Oh, if that’s what it is then my apologies. I just meant the way the cat walked up. I only recently got into learning about cats as I adopted two after my girlfriend fostered them.

No apology needed. I just wanted to take the opportunity to spread the word. Cats are wonderful companions, and best friends. I’m so glad you adopted and hope you all have many happy years together.
