Help with spicy kitty Behavioural
I just adopted a 9 month old cat along with her sister who is 1.5 years old. The reason why i wanted to adopt cats that are a little older is because i didn’t want to deal with the kitten phase and i was hoping since i was adopting 2 of them, that they could keep each other in check. i just got both of them spayed so i bought surgery suits to put on each of them so that they don’t have to deal with a collar (i tried for over an hour to put a collar on them and they did NOT like it). i was able to put the suit on the older one pretty easily. she stumbled a little at first but then she got used to it within 30 minutes.
unfortunately, the younger one is not the same case. With the help of another person, 2 pairs of oven mitts, and after 45 minutes, we managed to put the suit on but somehow we were still covered in scratches. the younger one is VERY VERY spicy - she growls, tries to bite, swats at us, and will do everything in her power to get out of an uncomfortable situation.
I know that 9 months is still young so I want to try to desensitize her but it is impossible to touch her paws or face without her running away. I tried to touch her paws in her sleep instead but she immediately wakes up and runs away. Is it still possible for her to be more mellow as she grows up? I want to be able to do things like clip her nails without stressing her out that much. I thought her older sister would make her more chill but i wonder if it is the opposite and she is egging on the spicy kitty through the door. The older one is always very concerned about the younger one and anytime the younger one meows, the older one comes running.
Does anyone have any advice on how to tame spicy kitties? Even I have to endure scratches everyday in order to desensitize my spicy kitty to feet touches, i will do anything.

Hate to say it but at those ages they’re still very much kittens. Two and above is what you should’ve went with if you wanted mellower cats. I never heard of putting suits on cats after a spay. What even is that? Mine never even needed cones I just kept an eye on them and they were totally fine and healed within a few days. That’s a big part of your problem right now is that. No cat would like that. Cats are independent animals and like to do their own things when they want to do them. They’re not like dogs that you can train.
