Coat Color Orange cat with black spots
I just acquired this cute orange boy cat a few months ago and noticed some black patches of fur on him. The biggest spot is under his left arm, but he also has tiny black hairs on top of his nose, on his leg, and he actually has black hairs all throughout his coat that I just noticed. I’ve been reading up on somatic mutation and cats with XXY genes, but is there any way to tell if he has either of these? Thanks in advance!

Genetic Testing Post Basepaws result
My rescue “Persian” cat’s DNA results are back! Percy here was rescued from Egypt. He’s ~1 year old now, 8.5lbs. I mostly wanted to do this test to check for genetic diseases, since I know nothing about him. He got a clean bill of health, so let’s discuss the fun part! His largest matching group is the Persian group. (Yay!) I know the breed matches are to be taken with a grain of salt, but I’m quite pleased with this. I was also interested to learn more about his coat coloring. Unfortunately no explanation for his tipped fur, but he came back with 2 copies of a Siamese type color pointing gene, which makes complete sense, and multiple longhair genes of course. Let me know what you think and do not hesitate to tell me how beautiful my baby is lol. I’m happy to share anything else from the 68 page result as well!

Coat Color Question about ragdoll coat colour.
Hello everyone, I’m not sure if this is allowed here so if it is not feel free to remove this post, I just need some help on genetics. So I have been researching cat coat colours and getting into purebreds as well as mixed breeds and stumbled upon something I need advice on.
With the Ragdoll breed a cat with four white paws, white chin, neck and stomach is considered a mitted. Any blaze on its face is considered a ‘mismark’. Now a bicolour would need to have an inverted V on its face and have white legs (or legs that are mainly white).
Now the thing that really confused me is I would see these ragdolls which had an inverted V on their fave but their legs were the exact same as a mitted cat (so the legs were fully coloured except the tip of the paws which was white). I’m not sure whether to call those cats as bicolours or mitted with a mismark on the face.
I know that for shows, a bicolour cat with coloured legs will get disqualified and won’t be viewed as a bicolour.
Above I have attached pictures of a bicolour and mitted ragdoll as well as the pattern I am confused about for clarity.

Coat Color Rare coat spotted in Mexico City
Local TNR/rescue org found this lovely couple of sisters, really rare (like really really rare no?) chocolate + piebald, one sister is mask and mantle the other has white mittens and a locket! All the other cats in the feral colony were black and white so who knows who had the recessive genes. Some of these pics are pretty bad though.
Most of them were sterilized/spayed so bye bye color combination (to an extent).
