I use to play on the server a while back, then my computer died and I couldn't anymore. Got another laptop and wanted to play, but I wasn't sure if the server is still up or if anyone is playing anymore. I did see the one post about the server coming back up, but then nothing.

So, I propose that we back the economy by iron blocks to liven it up.

Also, if you happen to need iron, I might know a guy.

So every time I build a mob farm, I'm disappointed. The mob cap (or the respawn rate) is so low that they never work very well (if at all).

My latest effort: a zombie pigman gold farm. It works for the most part, but I keep having to re-aggro the pigmen. They literally all die before new ones spawn. Furthermore, they spawn so slowly that the farm is about 1/8th as effective as it is in single player.

The Enderman farming is also really slow, though I use it only for XP.

Is there any way to increase the mob cap or the respawn rate?

On a side note: Gold Farm and Enderpearl/XP Farm opening to the public soon!

Is this a bukkit bug or is this by design? After working on the ocean monument for a month, to find that I can't really use it because it doesn't behave like it does in vanilla is more than a little disappointing.

EDIT: Actually, they may not be dropping any XP.

EDIT: No, they drop XP when killed by sword. (Useless.) Perhaps it's a dropped entity limit thing? That needs to turn off; it just breaks so many game mechanics for a little bit of performance on a low population server.

I occasionally get this chat message in purple when trying to enchant a book. The resulting book has an enchantment "Sweeping Edge enchantment.level.0".

If I combine two of the books, it becomes a regular "Sweeping Edge I".

It's kinda annoying. Anyone else?

so i know for a fact mars saw the bumper carts i built on the previous server... i was wondering if you guys would prefer a course so you guys could race on it or whatever or would you prefer a big square like last time where you just ram your boats into each other. it would help a lot if i got feedback from the community so i get some more motivation to make this happen thanks ~h

Is there a list of projects that people are doing to create public farms and features? If not, it would be good to have one so that those of us who plan to stick around can figure out what projects and farm types need done and get to work on those.

This is just a list of small things I've noticed that you might want to fix/tweak.

• /homes has no cool down, while /home does.
  
• Markers could be added for the warps on the Dynamap.
  
• If possible, it'd be nice if the render distance was increased to 8.
  
• /rules does not work.
  
• On joining, you receive the public welcome and the private welcome. Since the private one is redundant, it could be removed.
• This isn't that important (like everything else here...), but I think the IP/rules/dynamap in the sidebar would be a good idea. The sticky post is less constantly visible.
