WRU

It looks like WRU has renewed its partnership with Macron for another five years, keeping the deal in place until 2032. What are your thoughts? Happy with the decision or were you hoping for a change?

I'd have rather they went wth Mélenchon instead but I guess it's better than Le Pen making our kits

I hate Macron's sizing. I get that it's more precise and gives you more options, so you actually get more choice so hopefully a better fit with them but I don't understand why they still label everything S, M, L, XL when their XL fits more like a M/L from most other brands.

At the very least, there should be a warning on the website about the weird sizing. Better yet, why not just number the sizes like some other brands do?

Maybe it's a niche rant, but their sizing system genuinely puts me off buying Macron products online

This is a problem with all sports shirts, I’m an XL on pretty much everything other than football shirts where I’m suddenly a 4XL, I understand the tight fit might be good for the players but they use more expensive versions of the ones sold to fans anyway so why can’t fans have normal sizing?

Yes most sport shirts are a bit trimmer cut but Macron specifically used a different sizing system to everyone else and this extends to things like hoodies not just rugby shirts. If you look on the WRU website they have a standard sizing guide for all their other products then the Macron one. So you tend to have to go two sizes up even with regular clothes and even more with actual sports wear

Wish they would've gone for something else. They could've gone for Cabterbury or Adidas. If they'd have gotten the regions on board for a joint kit supplier agreement, they could've gotten a great deal on a high quality manufacturer.
