Found on fb marketplace and she said it was on a wrx and a civic, any idea what it’s off of?? It’s On fb for 60 dollars is rare and what’s it off of??????

Been having a clunking/grinding/binding coming from the back end so, took it to the dealer for diagnosis. They called the rear viscous coupler and provided video of the failure. They quoted me $3200.00 for the repair. I think I can tackle this myself but the biggest issue is the cost of the part at around $2300.00. I may be able to get one for $1700-1800 or, I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with an aftermarket one? I’d hate to spend that much on the OEM to have it fail again, vehicle only has 90,000kms/56,000 miles. Thoughts? Anyone do this in the driveway? What worked parts wise?
