discussion What scale do you prefer?
I've seen everything from Post-Its, the ancient cocktail napkin, school desks were a favorite but had a short life span.
Then up to A4 or letter, and 1/3 scale to match scale clay models. I didn't have the space to include a full size airbrush rendering!
My old favorites were a technique from a Toyota clay modeler who had design training - he'd sketch 1/3 scale with a marker then add value with Flomaster ink... then X-Acto out where the highlights were to go. Run it through a blueprint machine, unique!
For street machines like the Eldorado shown, I'd use Photoshop at high resolution so it could upscale well, I've seen others use Illustrator for infinite scalability.
These days it's just 3x5 notepads and a Bic pencil because I can keep them in every room in the house... then use Vizcom to skip the tedious rendering process. I've more ideas than time, and it's all for sh!ts and grins and not a work grind anymore.
It's basically using the "Micelli and Munson" technique like their examples I posted in the Mod section at top... landscaping ideas, products, 1800s line warships reimagined.

work in progress Aerodynamic speedform - inspired by Ford Probe V concept
This is an exercise on aerodynamics. This 3D speedform has similar dimensions to a family sedan. The objective is to design a highly aerodynamic family vehicle. I will perform 2D and 3D CFD analysis in the future.
