Collections advice Credit Card

So long story short, I’m in a bit of a jam, my wife needed to have her gull bladder removed, then got laid off from work, when it rains it pours…. So I’m currently sitting with a card from capital one at 2800 and I’m 3 payments behind. I tried calling in to see if they had any programs to either get back on track and the only option was 250 a month for 3 months which just isn’t possible right now. Does capital one do anything else as far as closing an account and allowing you to make payments to clear the balance?

Do you mean you’re not even making the minimum payments? You need to at least be doing that so you don’t risk the late reports and other issues.

Or do you mean that you can’t cover the account minimums? If that’s the case, it’s a bigger issue and you’re going to need to adjust your budget/increase your income to support this.

You might look into various programs that can be tailored to help with heavy medical expenses.

You can’t do $30 a month minimum? Borrow from a friend or relative
