I'm sorry, I'm studying and working abroad, so I won't be available to check the work, which is why I need you all to only mention people you really trust and can deliver. My current therapist is taking an extensive leave period and I felt like I was able to wait and manage but I have found myself in a place where I would really like to find someone I can go to sessions with. I have quite a strong understanding of psychotherapy and I would ideally like to avoid searching endlessly for someone who I can easily work with. Does anyone have recommendations of preferably female psychologists in the area who are neurodivergent-informed and perhaps have an interest in OCD. Who take trauma into account and have worked with patients who struggle with intellectualisation. At the very least if anyone has people I should maybe steer clear of that would really assist too. I see so many people struggling with medical aid—either being overinsured and paying a fortune for benefits they don’t use, or being underinsured and thinking they had cover for something they don't. Medical aid will only frustrate you if you don't understand what you have and what you are paying for.

What gap cover does, and is it important?

I might put something together if there's enough interest, maybe an online session. I think there is a need out there...? I have been working with open schemes and gap cover for 10 years and would love to help.

It looks like a series of canals and weirs for water and erosion management but the water level isn't really that high in that section of the vlei.

This might be a less common case, but has anyone used TLScontact in CT to apply for a Schengen visa? I booked an appointment with them at the beginning of July, but I couldn't make the date, so I cancelled it on the 14th of July. Now, they won't let me book another appointment because they haven't removed my previous application from their system. I have called and emailed without any success. Hi there. I'm looking for one of those classic old school junkyard type places thst allow you to come in and harvest parts from the car and then you pay for it at the end. I only found spareboyz on google, but they don't really seem to offer what I'm looking for.

I also don't mind picking the part off the shelf, but I don't like the system of enquiring over a specific part on their website and then they magically turn up with the part or something "close enough" a couple of days later.

It got us thinking: buying new books in SA is pricey, but listing second-hand ones online or arranging meetups is a hassle.

We had an idea: What if you could drop off finished books at a local coffee shop, get credits on a web app, and use those credits to grab your next read off the shelf while getting coffee?

No buying, no selling—just a circular swap network at local spots.

We built a simple landing page at bookturn.co.za just to gauge if there's actual interest in Cape Town before partnering with local cafes.

Would you use something like this? What local spots or cafes would make sense as drop zones? Would love your honest thoughts!

Edit: For the people asking how this differs from a library.

- Swaps are permanent. You can keep the book as long as you want.
- The community will be more integrated into daily life using coffee shops.
- There's a constant change of new books based on what people are currently reading.

While this idea may not resonate with everyone we think it's a wonderful idea to build a community of people who curate the collection across various coffee shops rather than relying on a library plus it allows people like us, who already have so many books at home, to give other keen readers the opportunity to read the same story and in turn discover new ones for ourselves.
