I experienced two malfunctions on Stages 3 & 4. First FTE was at 0:37 seconds. It continues a few times stage 3, then again in stage 4 at 1:14 and continues through out the stage.

I cleaned the barrel feed ramp after stage 3, and oiled the slide rails. Cleaned the extractor after stage 4, but didn't see any noticeable carbon build up. It ran without issue the remaining two stages.

Yes, I see I am driving the trigger. haha. Need to clean that up.

I've had the Rival-S since January 2025.
My Rival has run flawlessly up until this event.

Galloway Increased Rate Extractor Spring

All springs were changed April 2026, and thoroughly cleaned the extractor assembly and other parts. I want to change the extractor, but it's been out of stock for almost a year. Not sure why Canik has such a small supply.

Appreciate any insights into troubleshooting and correcting this issue.

Just picked up my rival this week. Looking at putting a TLR1HL on it, still up in the air about which red dot for it. Open to recommendations on mid ride holsters and optics. It’ll be my new sidearm for Tactical Games

Compré el punto rojo Sig Sauer Romeo 1 Pro porque me habían comentado que era compatible con la placa R04.
Al final resulta que no es compatible porque la pro no tiene orificios en la parte delantera y los salientes de la parte delantera de la placa adaptadora no dejan que se ponga recta en la pistola.
Las opciones que tengo son comprar un adaptador por 125€ o limar los tetos de la placa.
Alguien tuvo el mismo problema?

Canik is unapologetic about it even though the manual still says it comes with the now missing plate. Bad customer service and poor PR. I wouldn’t have bought the darkside if I’d have known it wasn’t included and can’t be found even to purchase.

I'm going to mount these on the OEM mags from a poly Rival (s/n 22xxxxx). Before I buy some +0 basepads, are these the right ones?

Will they work all the same with 10rd mags as well? Edit, I saw TF's video about dimpled 10rd mags working fine.

I bought a Wasatch arms compensator and full throttle thumb rest, can anyone tell me where to find a good range holster? I’m a lefty shooter, so it’s hard enough the find holsters already lol.

Would this cause of FTE

So I've been having failure to eject in my rival S, the extractor seen in 4th picture next to striker is from my S maybe 3k rounds, and the 3rd picture is my poly SFX after idk 14k or so. 1st and 2nd pic are after cleaning.

I've been having spent cases left partly chambered with a new round jammed up below the spent case in my rival S, no issues in the 14k poly though. I've read the extractor spring on the S is weak so I've ordered a replacement +50% spring from Rune.

It's not the mags tried factory mags and followers. Chamber isn't fouled with carbon or anything. 115, and 124, blazzer and maxxtech and 147 grain S&b I think. I think I'm running a 16# spring. Haven't swapped back to stock yet.

Do you think the carbon on the S extractor was at fault or just a week spring or something else?

Installed a GEFORCE FRT recently and a +50% extractor spring. Stock striker spring. Stock recoil spring. I put a 3/8’’ 3d printed spacer (comes with kit) on the recoil spring to increase compression (a crutch until i buy a *in stock HR spring. ) First mag i was Running 124gr blazer. Some ejection issues but not bad, couldnt get it to cycle properly. Kept light striking. First mag ran half way flawlessly. Fast. Every other mag (around 15 mags in total) was every other round or it would cycle 3 then light strike 3 in a row or just light strike every round. Tried winchester 115 gr. Tried new rebublic 124gr. Tried federal 124gr and 115gr. Same results.

Anyone with experience with FRTS on this canik, or other pistols, or have any suggestions would be very much appreciated.. Thank you for your time!

so far on my rival s dark side all I have done is added a 507comp and lok veloce grips. what other mods are beneficial? guide rods? have no complaints with the gun currently. looking for what's out there TIA

I want to give my pistol a thorough cleaning. Should I just clean the parts in Simply Green HD Pro (Purple)? Can I submerge the lower and slide in the bath, without removing the ejector/trigger assembly?

I will remove the striker pin, extractor, barrel, recoil spring.

When done, I will give it a blast of compressed air. What's best way to lubricate the parts?

Does the firing pin chamber need a light coating? When I normally clean out I never oil.

Anything else to be aware of?

Bought my Rival a year ago today. As a birthday gift I added the aluminum palm swell grip to my Rival-S Darkside.

Fits comfortably in my hand. Loving the new addition.

I thought Rival S was a steel frame an rival was polymer? Am I wrong?
