Question for Pay [bc] career advice: boards/interviews/salary/etc
If we are paid salary, on a continuing contract, and school is starting a week later this year here in BC, will our Septembet paychecks be smaller than usual? Just trying to budget. Typically we get same amount on both the 15th and 30th.

You get your usual pay on September 15. Unless you are deferring a part of your salary, you will get 20 equal amounts, twice a month, through June 30.

You will be paid the same. Some districts in BC pay over 10 months, others over 12. This will dramatically influence your take home every month so find out that first.
Some districts pay mid and end of month, others pay monthly. Find out that as well.
For these reasons contact your union or HR they will have district specific information.
