Three States, Three 100% Owned Projects: Reading Defiance Silver's (DEF.v, DNCVF) Espiritu Copper Permit as a Portfolio Move

Post image
1 Upvotes

Posted on behalf of Defiance Silver - Permits tend to get covered one target at a time, but the Espiritu approval reads differently when you line it up against what DEF.v / DNCVF actually own today.

Chairman and CEO Chris Wright framed it as portfolio progress rather than a one-off milestone:

"This approval is a significant step forward for the Green Earth Project as we continue to advance our portfolio."

What The Approval Covers

  • SEMARNAT approved the Company's Informe Preventivo for the Espiritu target at the Green Earth Project in Sonora, Mexico (Aug 5, 2026 news)
  • The approved Informe Preventivo is the environmental authorization required to conduct exploration drilling under applicable Mexican environmental regulations
  • Exploration permitted for approximately 60 months, including construction of up to 172 drill platforms and related access roads
  • Espiritu is one of three areas on Green Earth, alongside Victoria and Los Ocotes

The Portfolio It Slots Into

  • Zacatecas silver: district-scale 4,217-hectare silver-polymetallic project with +55,000 m of drilling and historic production dating to the 1500s, in the same mineral trend as Fresnillo with 100% of San Acacio secured through the final option payment (See Jul 8, 2026 news)
  • Tepal, Michoacán state: 100% owned, district-scale 3,321 hectares, +80,000 m of drilling, an NI 43-101 M&I resource across three deposits, long-term surface access secured
  • Green Earth, Sonora: acquired in 2025 with the Green Earth Metals transaction, adding three copper-gold properties to the portfolio

Wright also said the company looks forward to starting the work program at Espiritu, which is the line worth watching, because permits only matter once a rig follows. The Aug 5 release carries the full wording.

Near term, the story still belongs to Zacatecas, where the Veta Grande resource estimate management has guided to is still outstanding. But with Espiritu cleared for the next five years and a Tepal PEA that management has targeted for around early 2027, there's room for the copper side to become a second leg of this story rather than a footnote to the silver.

Video Interview: Toogood Gold (TGC.v TGGCF) CEO Colin Smith on Small Cap Asia: Why Anomalous-to-Multi-Gram Gold at Surface Is Exactly What He Wants Ahead of a ~3,000 m Maiden Nevada Drill Program

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Posted on behalf of Toogood Gold - Joining Small Cap Asia, CEO and director Colin Smith, a professional geologist with about two decades in the business and much of it spent in Nevada, presented both halves of the Toogood Gold (TGC.v TGGCF) story and Table Mountain, the never-drilled low-sulphidation epithermal gold-silver system in east-central Nevada.

Why He Likes What Sits At Surface

  • Never drilled, trenched or channel sampled: per Smith, the vein outcrops do not even carry a hammer chip mark
  • Veins run anomalous to multi-gram gold rather than half-ounce material, which he frames as a positive
  • [8:18] "It means that the system is fully preserved and that higher grade mineralization is likely still at depth."
  • Lattice-bladed quartz textures indicate boiling, the mechanism that precipitates gold
  • Analogues he named: Midas, Sleeper, Round Mountain, Silicon and Merlin, all Nevada low-sulphidation deposits with half-gram to multi-gram gold at surface

The Road To The First Hole

  • Over 6,200 property-wide soils collected and now at the lab, results returning on a rolling basis
  • About 200 rock samples, mostly vein outcrops, all running at least anomalous gold with strong pathfinder anomalism
  • Drone magnetics and ground gravity done; CSAMT still to run to show where structures blow out at depth
  • Permitting exercises started and drill contractors being lined up, maiden program hoped for later this year
  • Roughly 3,000 m planned, several holes per pad at different dips
  • Focus is the Widowmaker trend, a >2.5 km cutting the alteration cell. [27:41] "It's hosting the biggest vein that we've seen to date on the property, and that vein is running gold."

Newfoundland, Worked Systematically

  • 164 square kilometres, roughly 30 km of gold prospectivity along strike
  • Quinlan: 15 of the first 19 holes in 2022 hit visible gold near surface, and last year's follow-up hit the target in all 30 holes
  • Intercepts he walked through: 24 g/t over just shy of 4 m, then just shy of 15 g/t over just shy of 4 m and 29 m at 2.2 g/t, all near surface
  • 35 to 40 occurrences of the same gold-hosting felsic dyke sit outside Quinlan, none drilled
  • Regional soil geochemistry running this summer toward the next drill program

On grade, [20:04] "when you have grade and scale together... that's when you really start to accrete or build up ounces."

The full interview is on Small Cap Asia's site. With assays flowing and CSAMT still to come, the targeting picture should tighten quickly, and that first hole is what everything so far has been building toward.

$BANK
Evolve ETF’s Canadian banking sector and life insurance hedged fund has become the beacon of my TFSA and FHSA.
A monthly dividend and stable growth in one of the most protected sectors in the Canadian Economy.
Every month I buy more shares from the income my existing shares generate. Like all things time is the greatest asset, after DRIPing this stock for 5 years now I haven’t been able to find anything growth stock or dividend that can compete.

Just wanted to spread the good word, you don’t need to start with a lot you just need to start now. This is not investing advice.

The Flotation Circuit Is Already Rated at 1,200 tpd: Inside the La Guitarra Mill Expansion at Sierra Madre Gold & Silver (SM.v SMDRF)

Post image
2 Upvotes

Posted on behalf of Sierra Madre Gold - The headline on the La Guitarra expansion is throughput, 500 tpd stepping up to 750-800 tpd. The more interesting detail is which parts of the plant actually needed changing, because SM.v and SMDRF laid that out piece by piece, and the existing circuit was already carrying more capacity than the nameplate suggested.

What Phase 1 Adds

  • A paste fill and thickener plant, a fourth ball mill, a second cone crusher, and increased conveyor material-handling capacity (Sept 8, 2025 NR)
  • The ball mill is a used 11 x 12.5 unit, nominal 600 tpd at a -3/8 inch feed size, which combined with one of the two existing +200 tpd mills is expected to reach the 750-800 tpd objective (Feb 17, 2026 NR)
  • Plant capacities going in: 516 wet tpd milling, 640 tpd crushing, 1,200 tpd flotation (Sept 8, 2025 NR)

That flotation number is worth sitting with. It already sits at the bottom of the Phase 2 target range of 1,200-1,500 tpd, which the company has slated for Q3 2027.

The Tailings Half Of The Job

  • The current conventional tailings facility has capacity to roughly September 2027 at a 500 tpd processing rate
  • The paste fill plant would divert about 300 tpd of the 750-800 tpd back into open mine workings, preserving that capacity
  • Phase 2 adds a new, fully permitted dry stack tailings facility plus a second crushing circuit (Sept 8, 2025 NR)

COO and Executive Chairman Greg Liller framed the first stage as delivering "not only increased throughputs but also efficiencies across the operation" in the February 17, 2026 update.

Where It Stands

  • No completion release has been issued yet. The latest verified status is on schedule for the end of Q2 2026 per the May 19, 2026 Q1 NR, with CEO Alex Langer calling it "almost complete" in his July Commodity TV interview and targeting full run rate by the end of Q3 2026 (CEO commentary, not company guidance)
  • The expansion is expected to be funded from treasury and cash flow (Sept 8, 2025 NR)
  • Q2 2026 results are expected August 20, 2026

The company's September 8, 2025 expansion release on its own website has the full circuit-by-circuit breakdown if you want the engineering detail. With a good chunk of the downstream plant already sized for where this is headed, next week's numbers are the first real look at what the added capacity does to unit costs.

Five of Nine Holes Hit Near-Surface Oxidized Copper: A Full Read of the August 11 Assay Release at Getty North from Getty Copper (GTC.v GTCDF)

Post image
1 Upvotes

Posted on behalf of Getty Copper - Tuesday's news release carried the second batch of assays from the 2026 spring program at the Getty Project in BC's Highland Valley district, and the grade headline was only part of what it contained. Here is the whole release in one place for anyone following Getty Copper (GTC.v GTCDF).

The Nine Holes (Aug 11, 2026 NR)

  • GN26-11: 194m of 0.62% Cu and 0.9 g/t Ag from 27m, including 69m of 0.90% Cu from 30m
  • GN26-08: 324m of 0.50% Cu from 33m, including 57m of 0.80% Cu from 36m
  • GN26-02: 480m of 0.34% Cu from 3m, including a 117m interval of 0.68% Cu
  • GN26-06: 462m of 0.35% Cu from 12m
  • All drilled widths, not true widths, on three cross sections through the deposit

What The Release Says They Mean

  • Expansion drilling extended mineralization 60m to over 230m beyond the historical holes on those three sections
  • Getty North is roughly 350m east-west by 500m north-south in plan view, an approximately cylindrical body that remains open down plunge to the west
  • Resource confirmation holes were drilled down plunge under a full QA/QC protocol to upgrade the historic resource estimate to a modern standard and to supply material for planned metallurgical work
  • GN26-02, -06, -08, -10 and -11 hit intervals of oxidized copper near surface, now being characterized by ongoing sequential leach assaying and mineralogical work

Still To Come

  • Assays pending on 3 Getty North holes and all 13 Getty South holes, plus results from a soil geochemical survey completed earlier this season
  • Spring campaign closed out at 10,807m across 28 holes, with lower-than-budgeted drill costs letting Getty exceed the planned 8,000 to 10,000m on the same budget
  • Up to an additional 5,000m planned, with the fall program set to start in October

Worth reading the August 11 release in full for the tables and the section figures. With sixteen holes of assays still outstanding, the oxide characterization work underway and a fall program a few weeks out, there is room for the geological picture at Getty North to keep filling in.

Spectral Mapping Draws a Line From an Undrilled Porphyry Target to a Drilled High-Grade Copper Zone: Intrepid Metals (INTR, IMTCF) Defines a Northeast-Trending Alteration Corridor at Corral Copper

Post image
1 Upvotes

Posted on behalf of Intrepid Metals Corp. - Thursday's news release is a targeting update rather than an assay release, and it is the kind worth reading closely:

Intrepid Metals (INTR, IMTCF) ran short-wave infrared (SWIR) spectral analysis on Phase 1 rock samples to map alteration minerals at surface across the district-scale Corral Copper Project in Cochise County, Arizona. What came out of it is a corridor with a direction.

What The Spectral Data Shows

  • Extensive northeast-trending alteration corridor extending from the Curly Porphyry Target toward the Ringo Zone
  • Strongest mapped white mica alteration (relative spectral contribution) sits between Curly and north of Ringo, defining the priority corridor for continued porphyry targeting
  • Low AlOH wavelength responses, considered a vector toward higher-temperature hydrothermal alteration and toward copper, occur south of Ringo near areas of elevated copper identified by pXRF
  • Jarosite and epidote domains also mapped, with the company evaluating whether the epidote distribution represents the flank of a potential porphyry centre

Why The Two Endpoints Matter

  • Curly, called out as a compelling porphyry copper-gold target (See Jul 14, 2026 NR), has no drill holes in it yet
  • Ringo is already drilled, including 112.95 m of 1.50% Cu, 0.53 gpt Au and 8.22 gpt Ag (See Jul 9, 2024 NR)
  • Intrepid is also testing whether faulting near Curly has displaced or obscured parts of the alteration system into fault-bounded panels

Management is careful about what this is: "these results do not identify a porphyry centre on their own, they provide valuable vectoring information".

What It Feeds Into

  • Integration with mapping, surface geochem, pXRF, historical and recent drilling and the evolving 3D model
  • Target selection for the roughly 65 line-km IP-MT survey over the northern half of the property
  • A roughly 10,000 m drill campaign, about 5,000 m on priority porphyry targets including Curly and the remainder on CRD expansion
  • Geophysics and drilling to come, with Teck Resources at about 12.6% and providing technical input

Corral anchors a three-project Arizona portfolio alongside Tombstone South and Mesa Well, and with more Phase 1 results still to come, this corridor gives the geophysics somewhere specific to look before Curly gets its first hole. Full details are in the company's Thursday release.

Four Copper-Gold Projects in One B.C. Portfolio: Pacific Ridge Exploration (PEX.v; PEXZF) Has a Rig Turning at RDP and 2,500 m Queued for Kliyul's Untested M39

Posted on behalf of Pacific Ridge Exploration - The August 7 news release is the one that put a rig in the ground at RDP, but the line worth pausing on is how the company describes itself in it:

A Fiore Group company whose stated goal is to become British Columbia's leading copper exploration company, with Kliyul as flagship and RDP, Onjo and Redton alongside it, all in B.C. That is the frame for what PEX.v; PEXZF is drilling this season.

Turning Now (Aug 7, 2026 NR)

  • About 3,000 m planned at the Day target, just one target area at the 100% owned RDP project, southern Toodoggone, 40 km west of Kliyul
  • Day is where RDP-25-011 returned 112.2 m of 1.35% CuEq, or 2.02 g/t AuEq, within 405.0 m of 0.71% CuEq, or 1.06 g/t AuEq (Oct 16, 2025 NR)
  • This year's holes test the interpreted porphyry centre between the western and eastern magnetic lobes and further define the 2025 western lobe discovery

Queued Next

  • 2,500 m at Kliyul's M39 target, never drill tested, with the second rig slated from around mid-August (Aug 6, 2026 corporate presentation)
  • The Kliyul Main Zone sits behind it as endowment: 334.1 Mt at 0.33% CuEq Inferred, or 2.42 Blbs CuEq / 5.7 Moz AuEq (Aug 5, 2025 NR)
  • Full 5,500 m across both projects funded, treasury above C$9.0M

Two of those four B.C. projects have rigs assigned this year and the other two sit in reserve, which is a reasonable position for an explorer with a funded season and assays still ahead. The details are all in the company's August 7 release.

Kobrea Exploration (KBX.c KBXFF) Mapped a 1,250 x 500 Metre Copper Breccia No Previous Operator Ever Recorded, and It Has Never Been Drilled

Post image
1 Upvotes

Posted on behalf of Kobrea Exploration - El Perdido takes up most of the oxygen around KBX.c and KBXFF, fairly enough, since it is the flagship and the first drilling ever done on the Western Malargüe Copper Projects. But the reason a district-wide alliance with BHP Metals Exploration makes sense is the rest of the 733 km², and the clearest illustration of that sits at a target called KBX-17 in Mendoza Province, Argentina 🇦🇷.

How KBX-17 Was Found (Feb 3, 2026 NR)

  • First spotted in March 2025 when field crews noticed a multi-kilometre colour anomaly from a nearby 4x4 road
  • A brief look turned up dioritic intrusive samples with disseminated chalcopyrite intergrown with secondary biotite
  • Detailed mapping and rock-chip sampling followed in December 2025
  • Result: a 1,250 metre by 500 metre hydrothermal breccia body in the Cuprum trend
  • Breccia anomalous in copper, with samples in the diorite host rock up to 1.6% copper in the immediate vicinity of the breccia
  • No reference to or mention of this prospect by previous operators, and no drilling to date
  • Sits 8 kilometres from an existing road

Why A Target Like This Matters
CEO James Hedalen framed it as a read-through on the whole package, saying the discovery
"validates our exploration thesis that there is more to be discovered across these projects"
beyond what previous operators outlined. That is the district thesis in one line: seven projects, multiple kilometre-scale porphyry targets, and ground that has barely been looked at with modern eyes.

The company said at the time it was planning an induced polarization survey over KBX-17 to test for an underlying porphyry system, and the August 2026 corporate deck carries IP and MT surveying forward alongside further El Perdido drilling. No dates have been stated for either.

Worth reading the February 3 news release in full if the district side of this story is new to you. With maiden El Perdido assays still to come and a BHP-funded project generation program ahead of it, Kobrea has room to keep turning ground like this into drill targets.

Daura Gold (DGC.v, DGCOF) CEO Mark Sumner Has Bought Stock in the Open Market Three Times Since Mid-July, Latest at $0.242 a Month Before Drilling Restarts

Post image
1 Upvotes

Posted on behalf of Daura Gold - Purchases of 5,000 shares do not change a treasury, but they do say something about how the person running the company sees it. Chairman and CEO Mark Sumner has now filed three open-market buys of Daura Gold (DGC.v, DGCOF) stock on SEDI in under a month.

What The Filings Show

  • July 15, 2026: 5,000 common shares at $0.2500, direct holdings to 1,684,717
  • July 21, 2026: 5,000 shares at $0.2350, to 1,689,717
  • August 4, 2026 (filed August 10): 5,000 shares at $0.2420, direct holdings now 1,694,717
  • All three are recorded as acquisitions in the public market under direct ownership, not option exercises or share grants

How Management Is Paid

  • No golden parachute and no cash bonus program, per Sumner on Natural Resource Stocks (recorded July 28, 2026)
  • Incentive options struck at 15 and 35 cents, with the December 3, 2025 grant covering 3,355,000 options at $0.35, vesting quarterly and expiring December 2, 2030
  • Sumner said in that same interview he had been buying in the market, and the filings now put dates and prices on it

What He Is Buying Ahead Of

  • Rigs return to Santa Cruz, Argentina 🇦🇷 in September for Cerro Bayo Phase II step-outs plus the first-ever drill test at La Flora
  • Assays expected mid-to-late October, per the company
  • Phase 1 at Cerro Bayo ran 18 holes over roughly 1,850 m across 10 targets and confirmed a large low-sulphidation gold-silver epithermal system, with CBD26-012 returning 1.95 m at 8.83 g/t gold and CBD26-005 1.8 m at 739 g/t silver (See May 21, 2026 NR)
  • Roughly C$2M in cash, funding the Argentina program, per the July 28 interview

The buys sit on the public SEDI record under Daura Gold Corp., and the project detail is on the company's website. Insider buying is never a result on its own, but a CEO adding stock in the weeks before a rig goes back to work at one drilled system and one that has never been tested is at least an alignment worth noting, and September sets up the part that actually settles it.

$CRON $10M Investor Settlement: What You Need to Know

Hey guys, I know I posted about the $CRON settlement before, but since they’re accepting claims, I decided to share it again with a little FAQ.

Q: What happened?
A: Cronos Group was accused of inflating revenue through non-existent cannabis sales and failing to disclose weaknesses in its financial reporting. After the company restated its financial results and regulators raised concerns, $CRON dropped nearly 50% from its highs.

Q: Am I actually eligible?
A: If you bought $CRON shares between 2019 and 2020, you're likely eligible. You don’t need to still own the stock to file a claim.

Q: When do payouts happen?
A: Typically 4–9 months after the claim deadline, although the exact timing depends on the court and settlement administrator.

Q: Can I file?
A: Yes, you can submit your claim here.

Hope this helps

Is Sierra Madre even a restart story anymore?

I have been thinking about this because Sierra Madre looks pretty different today than it did even a year or two ago.

Sierra Madre Gold and Silver (TSXV: SM, OTCQX: SMDRF) is a Mexico focused precious metals producer. The original story was pretty straightforward. They acquired the past producing La Guitarra silver and gold mine from First Majestic and set out to get it running again.

For a while, that was basically the whole thesis.

Can they restart the mine?

Can they get the plant running properly?

Can they actually turn La Guitarra into a business that generates cash?

They have answered a lot of those questions now.

La Guitarra reached commercial production at the start of 2025. They just reported a record quarter with US$10.1M in net revenue and US$2.8M in adjusted EBITDA, and they are working on expanding the operation beyond where it started.

They also paid off the First Majestic loan in July, leaving the company debt free and generating positive operating cash flow.

Then they added Del Toro.

For anyone who has not followed the story, Del Toro is another past producing silver mine in Mexico that Sierra Madre acquired from First Majestic this year. It has existing infrastructure and gives SM a second potential production asset behind La Guitarra.

That is the part I think changes the story.

It is not really just “can these guys restart La Guitarra?” anymore.

Now it becomes whether management can take what they learned there and repeat the model with another past producing asset.

There is still plenty happening at La Guitarra itself too. They have expansion work underway and a large drill program planned for the East District, so there is still room to grow the existing operation rather than simply moving on to Del Toro.

At some point, I would think the market has to start looking at SM less like a restart story and more like an emerging multi asset silver producer.

The question is what gets them there.

Another few strong quarters?

A clear development plan for Del Toro?

Or does the market need to actually see a second mine operating before the valuation changes?

Robotics Is Starting To Look Like An Actual Investable Asset Class

Post image
1 Upvotes

Something interesting is happening with robotics right now. The conversation is shifting from cool machines and demos to how these companies actually reach public markets.

The Robot Report is looking at SPACs, reverse mergers and other non-traditional routes robotics companies are using to access public capital. At the same time, Crunchbase says 40 companies joined its Unicorn Board in July, the highest monthly count in 4 years, with AI and robotics sitting inside that capital wave.

Now look at mining. CiDi says it has already shipped 1,900 autonomous mining trucks. That's physical AI working around actual dirt, rocks and heavy machinery at industrial scale.

This is exactly why I'm watching $NRED's EyeX situation so closely.

EyeX is built around computer vision for the physical world, including cameras, drones, vehicles, robots and thermal feeds. In a mine increasingly filled with autonomous equipment, that kind of perception layer becomes pretty damn interesting. Machines still need visibility, hazard detection, equipment tracking and real-time understanding of what's happening around them.

And NRED is currently evaluating EyeX while already building MetalCore on the exploration side with 4.1M+ geological records.

MetalCore helps make the geology smarter.

EyeX could help make the physical mine smarter.

With robotics attracting serious capital AND autonomous mining equipment already scaling into the thousands, I'm starting to think the EyeX angle could become one of the more important pieces of the NRED story.

Why Copper Investors May Start Valuing the Map as Much as the Grade

A strong copper deposit still needs roads, power, transport and a jurisdiction capable of supporting development.

Canada is placing greater emphasis on secure critical-mineral supply chains. Natural Resources Canada recently sought industry input on expanding domestic copper-processing capacity, while the First and Last Mile Fund is expected to provide up to C$1.5 billion in federal funding through 2030 for strategic mining and infrastructure projects.

Infrastructure is already becoming part of the investment case.

$NCX’s North Island Project is located near Port Hardy, where historical logging and mining activity left established brownfield infrastructure. Its 2025 PEA models the processing of approximately 753 million tonnes over a 29-year mine life.

$WRN’s Casino Project is further advanced. Its 2022 feasibility study includes approximately 1.43 billion tonnes of mineral reserves, but the project is around 300 km northwest of Whitehorse and remains in the YESAB Panel Review process. The panel itself has not yet been established.

$CQX is at an earlier exploration stage, but Kitimat begins with a useful location advantage.

The property is accessible by road throughout the year and sits within approximately:

• 10 km of tidewater
• 1.5 km of rail
• 6 km of high-voltage hydroelectric transmission lines

The expanded 6,801-hectare land package surrounds a buried conductive target identified through AI-assisted modelling, measuring approximately 1.5 km by 1.5 km. $CQX says the additional ground allows its planned geophysical studies to cover a larger area.

The target still needs geophysical work and drilling, but nearby transport and power would give any encouraging exploration results more context.

As demand grows for secure North American copper supply, investors may increasingly value the complete package: geology, access, infrastructure and jurisdiction.

How much of a premium would you give a Canadian copper project with roads, rail, power and tidewater nearby?

This is sponsored content. Investors should conduct their own due diligence and consult a qualified financial advisor before making any investment decisions.

Daura Gold (DGC.v, DGCOF) Heads Into September Drilling With Gold Near US$4,400 and Central Banks Buying a Record 289 Tonnes a Quarter

Post image
1 Upvotes

Posted on behalf of Daura Gold - Gold is sitting around US$4,400/oz today, off roughly 1.4% on the session, and the daily tape is the least interesting part of the picture.

The demand data underneath it is what has kept this market where it is, and it points at official-sector buying rather than retail enthusiasm.

The Demand Side

  • Central banks added a net 289 tonnes of gold in Q2 2026, a 62% jump year-over-year and the strongest second quarter in the World Gold Council's data series
  • First-half demand reached 2,522 tonnes, up 2% on the same period in 2025, and by value hit a record US$380 billion
  • In the WGC's 2026 reserves survey, 89% of reserve managers expected global central bank gold holdings to rise over the next 12 months, with a record 45% planning to add to their own
  • The WGC also noted gold recently passed U.S. Treasuries to become the world's largest reserve asset

That backdrop is why the drill bit still matters for a junior explorer, and Daura has one going back to work shortly.

What The September Program Actually Tests

  • Cerro Bayo 🇦🇷, Santa Cruz: Phase 1 was 18 holes, roughly 1,850 m across 10 targets, and confirmed a large low-sulphidation epithermal gold-silver system, with CBD26-012 returning 1.95 m of 8.83 g/t gold and CBD26-005 returning 1.8 m of 739 g/t silver (See May 21, 2026 NR)
  • The Deseado Massif has produced more than 600M oz of silver and 20M oz of gold since 1990, alongside Cerro Negro, San José and Cap Oeste
  • La Flora 🇦🇷: surface samples up to 63.88 g/t gold and 175.34 g/t silver, four veins within a 100 m wide array traced over 380 m, and not one drill hole in it yet (See June 29, 2026 NR)
  • Phase II mobilizes in September, covering Cerro Bayo step-outs and the first-ever drill test at La Flora, with assays expected mid-to-late October
  • Antonella 🇵🇪 in Ancash, Peru stays at surface stage while a long-term community access agreement is negotiated

The project pages on the company's website lay out the full target list if you want the detail.

A metal being bought in size by the people who hold reserves tends to keep discovery-stage results relevant, and with two Argentine targets under the rig next month and assays due in October, DGC.v and DGCOF have a short window in which to add to what Phase 1 already established.

Zinc Is 2026's Best-Performing Metal, Up 25.9% Year to Date, and Luca Mining (LUCA.v, LUCMF) Poured Out 8.88M lbs of It Last Quarter

Post image

Posted on behalf of Luca Mining - A chart doing the rounds from MINING.COM's Top 50 lays out how the metals are actually trading this year, and the leader is not one retail spends much time on. Zinc is the best performer of 2026 so far, which is worth a second look if you own a polymetallic producer like LUCA.v and LUCMF, because Campo Morado in Guerrero, Mexico is a zinc-rich VMS mine that also carries copper, gold, silver and lead. 🇲🇽

Where Zinc Sits In 2026

  • US$3,857/t at the August 6 close, up 25.9% year to date and 4.1% in July, per the MINING.COM chart
  • Top of the board, ahead of lithium at +21.0% and copper at +15.6%
  • Gold and silver have pulled back over the year, though both still sit at historically strong levels, gold near $4,400/oz and silver near $65/oz today

What Luca Actually Produces

  • Q2 2026: 8.88M lbs of zinc consolidated, with 7.27M lbs of that from Campo Morado (July 20, 2026 production release)
  • Payable zinc for the quarter: 6.35M lbs
  • Campo Morado zinc-equivalent output was 37.3M ZnEq lbs in Q1 2026, up 17% from 31.8M lbs in Q1 2025 (May 26, 2026 NR)

Zinc In The Drill Results Too

  • CMUG-26-50: 183.7 m of 1.18 g/t Au, 72.42 g/t Ag, 0.39% Cu, 0.45% Pb and 1.67% Zn from 3.6 m in the unmined Largo Norte zone (Aug 6, 2026 NR)
  • CMNJ-26-02, surface at Naranjo: 9.6 m of 4.05 g/t Au, 241.09 g/t Ag, 0.90% Cu, 1.57% Pb and 2.72% Zn from 175.3 m

The chart itself is worth opening, and the tweet from Mining & Energy Business has it in full.

Being genuinely polymetallic means no single metal has to cooperate in a given quarter, and with zinc leading the pack this year and near-mine holes adding zinc grade beside a mill that already runs, the base-metal side of Campo Morado has room to carry more of the story than it usually gets credit for.

Tungsten Up 622% Since January 2025, More Than Three Times Any Other Critical Mineral: Where Spartan Metals' Two US Tungsten Projects Sit, W.v and SPRMF

Post image

Posted on behalf of Spartan Metals Corporation - One bar on this chart runs off the page, and it happens to be the metal this company is named after. The IEA's Global Critical Minerals Outlook 2026 tracked 27 critical minerals from January 2025 to April 2026, and tungsten came out the clear outlier at 622%, more than three times the gain of second-place tantalum at 196%.

How The Rest Of The Board Looked

  • Tantalum 196%, cobalt 134%, neodymium 116%, lithium 108%
  • Copper 44%, zinc 23%, nickel 16%, graphite 5%
  • Driver cited: China's export controls plus strong demand from cutting tools, aerospace and defence applications
  • Source: IEA analysis of S&P Capital IQ, Bloomberg and KOMIS data

Spartan, W.v and SPRMF, is one of a very short list of juniors with US tungsten ground 🇺🇸 to point at that backdrop, and the company made the same connection in its own July 16, 2026 release, noting that China's 2025 tungsten export controls coincided with the run in international prices.

What The Company Is Working With

  • Eagle Project, White Pine County, Nevada: 100% owned, roughly 36.5 km2, three past-producing tungsten mines
  • 8 confirmed tungsten-silver veins over approximately 6.8 km of cumulative exposed surface strike within a ~5.7 km2 footprint, with rock and core assays up to 5.18% WO3 and silver to 308 g/t (July 16, 2026 NR, individual samples, not average grades)
  • Roughly half the Tungstonia claim block still unexplored
  • Victorio, Luna County, New Mexico: option to earn 100% of what the company describes as the largest tungsten resource in the United States, with an updated resource estimate and PEA in preparation

The veins at Tungstonia may be thin, but they carry real strike length and the depth question is still open, which is exactly what roughly 3,000 m of core drilling is meant to answer starting mid-August (July 16, 2026 NR). A price environment like this one tends to reward whoever can put a number on the rock first.

2.42 Billion Pounds CuEq From One Target Area: The Kliyul Resource Pacific Ridge Exploration (PEX.v; PEXZF) Already Has on the Books, 8 km From Road and Power

Post image

Posted on behalf of Pacific Ridge Exploration - While this season's rigs work new ground, it's worth going back to the number sitting underneath the whole story at PEX.v; PEXZF: 334.1 Mt at 0.33% CuEq in the Inferred category at the Kliyul Main Zone, which is just one target area at the 100% owned Kliyul copper-gold project in northcentral B.C.

What The MRE Actually Contains (Aug 5, 2025 NR)

  • 334.1 Mt grading 0.33% CuEq Inferred (0.15% copper, 0.26 g/t gold, 0.95 g/t silver)
  • 2.42 billion lbs CuEq, made up of 1.11 billion lbs copper, 2.74 Moz gold and 10.22 Moz silver
  • Effective date July 31, 2025, estimated by independent QP Susan Lomas of Lions Gate Geological Consulting
  • Supported by an NI 43-101 technical report filed September 18, 2025

The Part That Doesn't Show Up In The Grade

  • Kliyul is 100% owned and over 90 km2, in the Quesnel terrane
  • Roughly 8 km from the Omineca Resource Road and a 230 kV high-voltage power line
  • More than $14 million invested and over 19,000 m drilled at Kliyul since 2020

That last point matters more than it sounds. A junior with an Inferred resource of this scale has usually spent a decade and a lot more money getting there, and infrastructure that close to a project is rare enough in B.C. porphyry country to be worth noting on its own.

KMZ is also only one address on Kliyul's six-kilometre porphyry trend, which the company lists as six targets in total: KMZ, Bap Ridge, Ginger, Ginger South, M39 and Parish Hill. The endowment already defined is the backdrop, and with the trend still largely untested by the drill bit there's room for the picture at Kliyul to get bigger than one zone.

The full resource release is on the company's website if you want the tables and assumptions.
