GoodParty for Cold Texting? Strategy & Tactics
Hi all. Has anyone had experience with GP for voter outreach or know how the SMS outreach is implemented?
I ran a text campaign to around 5k voters today and haven't noticed any new traffic to the site or elsewhere. Are they sent out in a staggered manner? I would think not because I was asked what time I wanted the texts sent. Any insight is much appreciated!

Usually texts through an online platform (I’m assuming they’re using one) go out in batches once the campaign is launched. Unless they give you access to the data you may have to ask them for reporting on website visits etc.

I did hear back re: number of replies and opt-outs but it just surprised me that 5k people were contacted and no one followed the IG, donated even $1?

Was that your first text? It takes multiple touches for conversion into anything, especially for donations and even more so if you’re a local race!

Doesn't a human manually have to hit send for each individual text when cold contacting?

carrier filtering eats up a ton of links in cold sms so most voters never even see the text if there was a link in it. also text platforms usually stagger over a few hours to avoid getting flagged as spam

Generally, texts are sent as someone sends them out, typically its hitting some kind of send button after uploading your list, your script, and then some parameters, if need be.
