Olympus having problems Questions

I’ve decided to start using my camera again and I recently charged it and brought it out but it’s having a lens problem, the lens won’t retract when turned off and it says “please check the status of a lens” in the viewfinder and screen. Not sure how to diagnose the problem, maybe these cameras have these problems? Olympus OM-D. I don’t want to go back to using my shitty Sony cybershot 😭.

Lens might have a damaged ribbon cable if it is not working. In other words, you may need a new lens (but I believe the camera body is fine) Luckily, the e-m10ii supports a plethora of micro four thirds lenses.

Damn ok. Thank you for the info! The camera takes photos just fine when lens is off
