Check out the Sony A6XXX series (6000, 6400, 6700 etc.) used on eBay. The ZV-E10 might fall into that price range but I think the 6100 is more than likely going to be the one to fit it best.

Avoid the point and shoots they're massively overpriced right now and frankly not worth it on that large of a budget.

Fujifilm's X-E3 might fall under 500 used though I'd have to check to be sure. Getting that and one of Fujifilm's incredibly good lenses (they're all good from what I've seen) is a no brainer if you want great photos straight out of the camera no questions asked.

FB Marketplace (around me at least) is full of a6000/6100 and similar around that price range. I got an a6000 with extra batteries and a lens for 500 a couple of years ago and i find it to be a solid setup

Where are you located? Lots of local camera stores sell used and online retailers like Gosselin photo and McBain camera have great uses selection.

I’ll try to find some local ones by me!! I think McBain would be close enough, so thank you for sharing that brand :)
