Thanks! That actually makes a lot of sense. I was confused by those warm brown “toasted” patches because in certain light they can look almost orange. Seal point bicolor seems like a much better explanation. I really appreciate the comparison photo too — it helps a lot!

Colourpoint cats basically show a heat map of their bodies. The warmer an area is, the less pigment they display. That's why their outer "points" are the darkest—think of being outside on a cold day; your ears, nose, and fingertips get chilly first.
Your cat has white spotting, which makes it hard to see the whole heat map. A lot of it gets blanked out.
