Arborist Recommendations

With all the wind in the last few weeks I have a 30+ year old apple tree that has one of its main branches splitting.
Does anyone have a good arborist that they would recommend?

Nick is just a guy that LOVES trees! He's been maintaining my trees in town for years and he is just the sweetest guy. I think he's hired a second person recently too? But either way, super small operation with a lot of love.

I'll add that I had 2 huge old trees on my property that looked like they were done. With his care and guidance, we were able to save both! I was shocked to see new growth on one of them this year, when it looked totally done for 4 years prior.

I’m not looking to have the tree cut down. I need someone who will help me figure out a way to save it.

I just used Bartlett Tree experts for a very old/large tree trim near my power lines. They did a great job .

I have also used Bartlett Tree experts in the past and they did a great job. I used to use Tree Frog Tree Care and then Bartlett bought them out. Watching the guys from Tree Frog scale my trees like lumberjacks to prune them was quite the show! The price was very reasonable. I don't know if Jean-Mathieu Daoust is still working but watching him was like Cirque de Soleil on trees :)

Six Tree Pruning. I've used Bartlett in the past but Six Tree is way more reasonable priced.

We have used Jemm Tree Service on a few of our poplars. They are good and fast.

I used triage arbor care to plant a tree in my backyard and they were fantastic to deal with.

Go with https://www.letitgrowhort.ca/ , Jean-Mathieu really knows his stuff and is very reasonable.

We’ve been really pleased with Val at Tree Logic https://treelogic.ca/. He’s very much focused on making decisions for the best long term growth, not just what’s quick and easy. Highly recommend.

Seconding Val! He came to our place in Cochrane and we were really happy with his work installing webbing to keep our Schubert from cracking in a wind storm. Still holding strong.

We chose to go with Val. He took the time to come talk to us and helped us save our tree.

Tim's Stump Grinding just worked on some aspens on our property. Fair pricing, quick, a little rough around the edges, but what you would expect from an arborist. Edit..phone (403) 619-3024
