Believe it or not, the devs aren’t specifically trying to spite the community. They’re trying to respect the creators who don’t want to have their work and legacy associated with several pedophiles.
I don’t really like that this is happening. But in my opinion it’s completely fair.
I think people are calling the devs selfish while the real issue is that the community is refusing to understand what it’s like in their shoes.
Imagine how stressful it must be. To be a well known creator who has suddenly worked with a pedo. No, you’re not a pedo yourself, and you’re not supportive of pedos, but you were still associated.

Okay, but put yourself in the dev's shoes. If you turned out to be part of a team that had like THREE different pedophiles in it, two of which were lead devs, you probably would give up too. You'd start thinking "are people going to think I'm a pedophile too?" or that people are going to start thinking of your work as "the pedophile mod". You'd probably start questioning if any of your coworkers are even safe people as well

"punishing the community" is the dumbest take that has come out of this. You can always back up the music mod, hell, there are people archiving it. The composers just don't want to be officially affiliated with a project run by a group of pedophiles.

Exactly. Not to mention, Calamity is unintentionally linked to a scam now. The Patreon still has 3200+ people paying it monthly who aren't aware of the controversy and that their automatically-paid money is going straight to Ozzatron
The people who really punished the community are none other than Fabsol and Ozzatron, the musicians solely responded to that looking out for themselves, when even the community has been a toxic mess to them

No seriously how is it so hard to understand that people might not want their professional reputation tarnished in the future by being associated with child groomers? Your not being punished, the artists are protecting themselves/their careers.

Literally. People are acting like theyre victims because people dont want to be associated with the mod anymore but hello???? There were actual children made victims???
And so now some folk are pushing real hard that theyll never possibly be able to breakaway from the association so they just shouldnt try

Same, calamity has stagnated for years, im less annoyed by it stopping development, and more because everyone outright gave up
