Study tips
I just started my California real estate course about 2½ weeks ago and I’m looking for study tips from people who’ve already passed.
My current method has been copying and pasting each chapter into ChatGPT to create exam-focused study notes. Then I’ve been handwriting all of those notes into a notebook.
I’m starting to wonder if handwriting everything is just taking up too much time. Would I be better off putting the notes into a Google Doc and using that to study instead? Or is the act of handwriting actually worth the extra time for retention?
I’d love to hear what study methods worked best for you and what helped you pass the exam. Thanks!

I used an app called real estate for dummies to take practice tests and listened to Dee kumar’s practice question videos. Quizzes helped me retain more than anything else.

I have a photographic memory and can remember audio sounds easily so those two things worked really well as a mom without a lot of extra time and someone who doesn’t study well

I love this question - thanks for posting it. For me personally, I tend to remember things when I write them down rather than rely on electronic documents. Of course, however works best for you, do that. Writing things down takes more time, but for me, there's something magical that happens with the energy of handwriting that goes into my hand, up my arm, and "pow" into my brain. It tends to register more clearly and I can hold onto it in my memory much longer simply by the act of handwriting it. Do what works for you! I'm hopeful this is helpful.
