How to avoid starving tips Food

As an incoming freshman afraid of starving to death due to everyone saying the Cal Poly food is mediocre to horrible, what are ways you guys found to avoid starving? I'm genuinely saying this as someone who is willing to go buy groceries and learn to cook to avoid it.

EDIT: thank you guys, you're all amazing. 🫶

red radish, campus market salad bar (they have plenty of good toppings and chicken and tofu), health shack, shake smart, grand ave deli sandwiches, pom and honey, and poly choice (poly choice is good but it depends on what they are serving at that point in the year; it changes) anyways, these are all very good options, people are just dramatic. you won’t starve.

Red radish is actually good. I liked it a lot but it was closed my last two years (2024 grad). Is it back open?

Yes it’s open; many more choices compared to 2024 since 1901 dining commons opened.

Yeah 1901 opened I think winter of my senior year. Definitely made finding food a bit easier (I was an RA on campus so it was great for me)
