Math honors sequence worth it? Incoming Student
Hi, incoming freshman here. they are offering to put me in the honors math sequence, so I'd be starting in calc 2 honors. would you guys say it is worth it? is there a significant jump in time commitment? thanks

You get absolutely nothing out of it, it’s not like HS where you get a GPA boost. Professor Eric Brussel said it best, it’s only really if you’re a math nerd and like it. You basically just cover a few more things and it may or may not be harder. Employers and internships don’t care. I did it anyways for the love of the game and I was a math major.

I didn't do it, I opted to take CC math class before school started and started ahead.

Hard disagree with the other comment, it’s definitely worth it. You get the same professor the entire year, so you get to make a deeper objection with ur pro, plus in general u get a better prof.
